I'm considering getting a Monroe piercing, but I'm naturally concerned about the possibility of gum recession. So, what I'm trying to look for is a sense based on (loose) statistics of how many people actually end up having problems with gum recession, etc due to their Monroe/Madonna piercings...

Lip swells and hurts even after I've taken jewelry out for good?

Can I use a Monroe ring/stud for my bottom lip piercing?

I was just wondering whether or not I could use a Monroe stud for my bottom lip because I like the gem-stud look for the bottom lip and the only jewelry I could find for that was a Monroe stud. Ring opening and closing pliers

Hey everyone, I had a question on ring opening pliers and ring closing pliers. I plan on buying a seamless lip ring from BAF, but I'm not sure if I need BOTH pliers, one to open and one to close. I have had both sides of my lip done at different times.... The left side i had no problems with the flatback....i later took it out and it closed up. About a week ago i got the right side done with the same thing and sometimes i do bite it and it gets caught up but not that often and its not that big...
