7/16g or 1/2g?

this is somewhat of a personal opinion but idk what gauge to stop at and i was wondering wut people think is better to stick with for awhile, 7/16 or 1/2. Both seem to hav many choices of jewelry to pick from but plz give me ur opinion on whats more appealing to urself.

I know that there are a million stories like this on these boards but i had to vent. Sooo... a guy just got hired at my work and I noticed he had just one lobe stretched. He wasn't wearing jewelry so I asked him what was up. Turns out he had gotten it pierced 3 years ago at a regular (18-14g) size...

are my lobes screwed?

Long story short, I messed my lobes up a long time ago when I forced a stretch from 4g to 0g. Dumb, I know, I'm not even sure what I was thinking at the time. Now I make sure to stretch gradually and I downsize regularly along with daily massages. However, I've been left with these nasty blowouts...
