Im new to the forums but I have been searching around and reading posts for a while now.

Same difference, pretty much. I always considered "eyelets" to either be single- or double-flared (no-flared is called a tube), and flesh tunnels to be tophat-style with screw-on backs. But the terminology really varies a lot from place to place, you're not "wrong" if you call eyelets tunnels.

    Ohh i see
so basically, its just how people see it be?
    eyelets can equal tunnels
    while others think otherwise?

are tunnels js a general term for flesh tunnels?
    thank you!

Nah, tunnels can mean either flesh tunnels or eyelets, it's not a specific term.

Sorry for double posting ! but i thought itll be better than making a new topic.

For wearable area for silicone earskin is it best to get 5/16 first?
Im wearing a 5/16 gem eyelets
    specifically this http://www.bodyartforms.com/productd...ProductID=2482 .
and there is alot of space sticking out from the back.
is it different from earskins and eyelets or should i just go for the 1/4?

If you have lots of room with those, then 1/4" wearable may work just fine. 5/16" may be safer just because there's no way it'd be too short. You could always buy one of each wearable and then buy a second piece to make a pair once you've chosen the right one :3

I personally need 5/16" and my lobes are average (my left one is kinda thick). Those gem eyelets fit me perfectly with no extra room between my lobe and the O-ring.
Currently: 5/8" lobes, 2g conches, 2g septum, magnetic implant, tongue bifurication/frenectomy, ~27 hours of tattoo work

Planned: 14g philtrum, many more tattoos, lip reconstruction

    My name is Brittany! :3

Feel free to make new threads if you have completely new topics. =)

I'd say 5/16" is a good starting place, but if you know you have thin lobes, you can go with 1/4" if you want them really snug.

would it be bad to have them really snug?

and for the gems do i have to leave some space between the flare and the o ring?
because ive been wear the flare really close to my lobe while i left the o ring far from my lobe
maybe thats why i think theres so much space left on the eyelet

As long as they're not so tight they're cutting off blood supply. lol I think this is basically impossible with earskins since they're so thin. If it looks like they're being sucked into your lobe, or they're uncomfortable, then they're too short.

Whatever's more comfortable to you. I like to wear my O-rings closer to the end of the plug, while others like them right on their ears.
