its where you stretch by inserting the next guage jewellery into your hole. ex. if you were at 8g, by forcing a 6g ring into that hole. i dont know if that term still applies if you wait until your lobes self stretch up to 6g, but its stretching by only using the next size up jewellery

ears, face and chest and belly. holes n shit.

It's when you stretch by putting in a larger piece of jewelry, without the aid of stretching tools.

I don't think it's smart to do unless they go in very easily. I've done this with colorfronts. They have rounded ends so they're good for that. But I didn't have to use much force.

Current: 1/2"(13mm) lobes, industrial, 3 helix piercings, 2 conches, 1 rook

    Future: 4g/2g seconds? navel?

My personal definition of Dead Stretching:

Waiting until the next size jewelry goes in (usually colourfronts like Hilde mentioned). So basically not using a taper or tape. I have done this for 99% of my stretches.

    There's no "forcing" anything...

i think its time to let your ears close up as much as possible and not start over

i cant imagine going from 18g to above 4g in a matter of 3 months. You should only be at 12g at the most by now. I researced for 9 months before i started stretching a year or so ago and im only at 6g about to stretch to 4g in a week. Ill fallow the stretch with at least a 3 months wait before going to 4g. Stretching takes time its not an over night thing

    0g lobes [(L) lobe scalpelled from 12g to 2g]
    14g Helix (L)
    Banner tattoo above boxers (8/18/11)
250k worth of facial cranial surgeries
    Prosthetic leg (R) below knee

I think its been established a few times the OP has no regards for the health of their ears.

On topic, I dead stretched every size after getting scalpelled, at smaller sizes it was difficult for me but after my ears healed from being cut they loosened up a lot on their own so it was just a matter of waiting for the new size to fit. Best method IMO, and safest as long as you never force anything.
