Working Out and Getting a Tattoo

Hello, I plan on getting my next tattoo pretty soon. I've been planning on getting it for quite some time but the only thing that was holding me back is the way my body is right now. I plan to get the tattoo just below my stomach under "where a sick pack would go" and to the left so sort of on my oblique hip above my pelvic area. The only thing I was concerned about is if I work out while I have my tattoo there will there be some kind of shapeshifting with the tattoo? such as possible stretching and such. I heard this happens if you have a tattoo on your bicep or arm and you work it out but the six pack stomach area only tones rather than actually increase in size. Would the change in my stomach and toning of my abs alter my tattoo? Right now I'm not gigantic or anything I'm pretty average and I have a six pack when I flex but I plan to get it even more toned and shred the excess fat that is there. I really want to get the tattoo now and just work my way there but I'm afraid the tattoo will shift in a way. Thank you!

I think you should be alright. Judging from the placement of the tattoo, I don't think there should be a big change. As you said, it only tones and doesn't actually increase in size very much. Even if it did, it wouldn't be a dramatic increase, nothing that would alter the tattoo enough to really notice, if any alteration at all.

Minor changes in body are not that big of a deal on tattoos.

Not unless your arms increase in size greatly.
