and i agree, if you change the jewelry a lot or wear slightly smaller jewelry i would assume the hole would wanna close up some and might explain why its so tight when you try to go to 1.6

how big do you want to go? maybe you should just get them re-pierced at a bigger size since you're having so much trouble stretching. it'd probably make any further stretching you want to do easier as well since the hole will be bigger. i got mine pierced at 10g and they healed very nicely.

i know it says you cant really do custom images for plugs but what if its a really simple design? i have a pretty good idea what i want. just tell me if you cant do it. otherwise, can i email you the details sometime?
