 if you gently pull down on the plugs while you're upright, do you see any air in there? it sounds like you have room to move up a size. just make sure you use single flare.

 yeah, i know all the sizes run a bit differently, i like  tshirts to be pretty tight. i'm hoping that if it's still somewhat baggy i can sew it to fit me better.

 yeah, sometimes i get bits of food stuck under the heart shaped disk i have in my tongue. very uncomfortable. i hope you can get the problem resolved, whatever it is.
