Re: The Thread of all Threads

We need a picture of that corset, Ann. Stick out tongue

It's only 9:15am and I'm already thinking about being able to collapse in bed tonight. Long school days (8am-10pm) make me want to curl into a ball. But alas, the semester will be over in a little over a month.

Oh, and I wanted to point out that anyone interested in the content/analysis of their dreams should keep a dream diary to type/jot down whatever they can recall from their sleep. Since I started paying close attention to details and nuances in my dreams, I've been amazed by the recurring patterns and themes that have come up time and time again. Of course, it takes some sorting through seemingly random content -- like getting a slushie at the liquor store in your hometown and building a TV with your ex girlfriend -- to get to the good stuff. LetsBrawl:

Your slave cylinder is going bad.  Does the clutch pedal feel really soft?  How low was the fluid in the clutch master cylinder?(the thing you pour fluid in).  My Jeep has done this many times.  I'm pretty good at changing them out now.  I can take one off and put a brand new one on, bleed the system and everything in 30 minutes tops.

You're like the 3rd person who's said it's the slave cylinder.  Yes, the pedal is really soft.  It feels like it doesn't catch until it's almost on the floor (or sometimes not at all)

    LetsBrawl:

Also the cutting off problem is almost 100% either your TPS(Throttle Position Sensor) or IAC(Idle Air Control Sensor).  Carbon gets gummed up inside the IAC valve and causes all kinds of problems.  Have someone spray throttle body cleaner in the IAC valve before taking it to a shop.  They'll rape you with labor charges.  Sorry if it sounds like a foreign language...just trying to help out Wink

This is French to me. lol  It's at the mechanic right now, so we'll see what happens!!

Haha sorry about that.  It's definitely the slave cylinder.  I've went outside in the morning to go to work and my clutch pedal has been stuck to the floor...yes...stuck to the floor!  I could lift it up and it'd fly up and if I barely tapped it it'd fall all the way to the floor.  Good luck on getting it fixed, hope they do it for cheap!

The same thing had happened to my 3kGT about 2 years ago... we tried to 'rebuild/clean' the orig slave cyl and it was a huuuge waste of time. $130 and 20 min later it was fixed :)

Yup!  We put oil in the transmission last weekend...didn't work.  Put oil in the clutch Saturday...didn't work.  Luckily, though, the things we've done needed to be done anyway, ya know? lol

I hope mine's as cheap as yours was!!

It's been discussed often over the course of the past twenty five years.

Okay... and what? I know it's nothing new but many people are still uninformed. But you laughed like you had an opinion.

    wrinkledamanda:

I think particle accelerators in general are a bad idea. It's so unpredictable all these things they're messing around with, and it shouldn't be fucked with. I understand the quest for knowledge and all that, but there's things here on earth to look at that are unexplained. Don't go exploring other dimensions (and opening us up for potential crazy sci fi madness) and creating black holes (opening us up for obliteration and god knows what) ESPECIALLY when the general public doesn't know about it.

In that video you linked to, the lady was saying they were trying to control the weather or something like that, and something about slowing down global warming... well, that's all ridiculous because they're hurting us in the long run, and global warming is something the earth just does. Sure we're speeding up the process, but that's nature's way of basically purging parasites. At least that's natural and not fucking dealing with wierd other dimension shit... Didn't the German military admit to it, too?

Yep... along with fucking with the environment, it just doesn't make sense that money keeps going to these projects instead of being used on important things. Like education. I do believe the German military has admitted to weather control methods recently...

I saw The Diva for the first time in months the other day. It was a nice short visit (exchanging some items we had left at each other's places) but long enough for her to tell me that she's quit drinking (and some other things) and wanted to extend a real apology for what transpired in March.  She says she realizes now how fucked up the situation was.  That was sweet... we may actually be able to be friends now.
