    Septums

Do you stretch your septum or do you get it dermal punched to the size you want im asking. Cause im thinking about going for a 6 gauge in my septum. And if anyone knows the price to get a dermal punch im just looking for like a ballpark figure? Thanks

I'm not a piercer, but I'm assuming you could get both, or you could get it scalpeled as well. I think for a 6g, just get it pierced at a 10g and then stretch it to a 6g. That would take about a year I guess.

    Re: Septums

If your goal is 6g. I would recommend against punching it. At that size it really isn't necessary. You can either pierce it at 8g, heal that, and then stretch. Or you can get it pierced at 6g, heal it, and enjoy.

Can you use glass/bone jewelry if you pierce it at 8 gauge?

    Re: Septums

Glass would be an acceptable option. Bone would not be as it cannot be properly sterilized.

Yeah, you should only wear bone/wood when the piercing is *totally* healed. Glass would be a perfect material to use, it's very inert and not at all porous :)

Got my septum pierced today at around 1PM, it's doing fine, it's at 12 now. Expect to see me stretch it as soon as it's healed. :)

    Re: Septums

Tempted to stretch my septum a bit more, but it looks quite nice with the ickle BCR in it - 10ga might be a bit chunky for the size ring I wear :)

Why does everyone set goals as to what they would like to be? Not meaning to rag on anyone, because I do the same thing. Life is a journey. Enjoy.

Congrats on the new modification. It is definitely a life altering one.

    Re: Septums

Setting goals is a way of keeping control of yourself. Chaos is never a good thing, no matter what "anarchists" will tell you. It is not always in your best interest to just "let things happen" I dont think jag. In some cases yes, but goals are good, I believe.
