Bommie - We don't have 2mm cab stones :( so regular gemmed eyelets won't be an option. We're looking into your options for a center stone for a super bling or single stone, just in case you become interested in those. We certainly don't stock sapphire cabochons in the sizes you're looking for, but we'll see what's around :)

norikotheninja - 20 stones, for sure! And we don't have LV in 2mm, but the rest of the stones are an option!

harold - Lapis is not an option in 2mm, so just tiny things and smaller gemmed eyelets are out of the question, but other than that, I'll see what I can do to hunt down a picture or two.

Re: Ask Barry Anything... Except Price!

tyvm for the info about lapis...  yeah, i know it is kinda a tough stone for the quality that yall strive for - but it was listed as an option, so i figured id ask...  any pics would be great...  heck, if yall have not actually used it - thatd be cool/interesting, since i guess any ideas i had would be unique...  ;-)

oddly, i could see using it (lapis) as the center-stone in a super-bling maybe (and -i- would choose things like clear-cz and/or sepia-cz and/or brown-cz) for the ring-stones... im fairly-well married to a 0g (ie, small) design which doesnt really leave much room, huh ?  ah well, some thoughts, if ya have em, would be great...  otherwise, i guess ill just keep fantasizing a bit more - as i have been for awhile...  :-)   thanx again, h.

exactly 8.25250000001mm (0g) ear lobes only... so far...

Harold - I'll keep in touch. For those of you who haven't seen it, go to http://www.anatometal.com/jewelry/Captive-Bead-Rings.php to see our tanzanite stone in action.

norikotheninja - 20 stones, for sure!

so i can't get 21 stones in a 1/2" anymore? is it because of the stones squishing together and cracking when they are set?

i just remember it being an either or situation in the past, but then a recent question about 14 or 15 in 0ga, the reason for not doing 15 anymore had to do with the integrity of the stones when being made.

i wanted to add another question, sorry. after seeing the tanzanite CBR, and searching the gem a bit, i really like it and was wondering if it would be a nice purple at 2mm, or more of a blueish? i know some have said that the amethyst is really light and blends with the CZ's at the small size, and im thinking i might just put the tanzanite in its place as purple. its pretty!

forgive me; i don't do forums often, correctly, or ever at all. but i do love me some BAF :)

I have a broken gem in one of my eyelets, can i send it directly to anatometal or do i have to go through BAF?

What do I do if I didn't purchase the eyelets through BAF?

are there any photos yet of 3mm mint green, tanzanite or lavender czs set in stainless (or plain ti)? I'm trying to decide what to get in some 1" gemmed eyelets, and I believe they have 3mm stones around the edges. even just a photo of those colours out of jewellery in that size would be fine!

I've seen the tanzanite and mint green in what looks like 4 or 5mm in photos on Anatometal's facebook page, but i'd like to know what they look like smaller.

In the third picture, is that the new mint green?

Would it be possible to get a captive bead ring in 5/16"diameter in 10g?

If not, would it be possible to get a gemmed or fauxpal captive bead compatible with a 10g 5/16" diameter captive from Body Circle [ http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?jewelry=captive&dwzPage=7&ProductID=1678&index=14 ] ?

norikotheninja - We discontinued the 21 stones a long time ago, because 20 stones looked better and worked better for peoples choices in pattern.  I looked around, and we most definitely only have parts with 20 stone seats.   :(

It's a nice purple at 2mm.  It's 2mm, so it's not OHMYGOD purple, but it's definitely more purple than blue.  However, if you hold an amethyst next to a tanzanite (which I just did!), the blue shows a little more. Amethyst is more grapeish... Here's some amethyst and CZ:

    Amethyst/CZ

I... don't have a picture of tanzanite and cz.  The stone is too new!  Maybe you should order a pair so I can take a picture ;)

beans - No.  Not yet.  :/  They're all brand new!  I can tell you the lavendar is very, very, very light purple - VERY light in 3mm.  The TZ is ..blurpleish, and also a moderately light stone in a small size.  The mint green is pretty fierce a mint green, though.  In time, I'll get pictures, I promise!

Life Is Art - Yes!  That's mint green!  Isn't it pretty? It  doesn't lose it's hue much in smaller sizes, either.  It's gorgeous!

     RioTDoll -

A 5/16 10 Captive is absolutely no problem.   Neither is a gem ball for it.  If you want to order just a captive gem ball to fit a pre-existing captive, that's fine too, but you will be responsible for coming up with the correct measurements that you need to fit the part if it's someone elses ring :)
