Most common around here are either second lobes, navels, or stretched ears (usually quite poorly). 

The least common are horns. Barring extreme mods such as those, stretched lips aren't common here at all.

   It's pretty well tied between nostril and naval. As far as least common I almost have to say Labret, I only know 3 people in my entire area other than myself with them, and I am the only one I know stretching mine, which may be why I am so proud to be doing it. Thats just my area btw, I know labrets are comon in some places. One final note, sub-dermal horns are one of the most popular around here, about 1 in 10 people I see at our conventions have them.

Yeah, I'm exaderating of course, I forget that thing about sarcasm and the internet sometimes. But yeah at the last convention there was someone at almost every other booth with horns, most sub-dermal but a few others.

Any piercing that may be considered even slightly beyond the norm is uncommon where I live :b.

Septums are making a rise here mostly because they are seen as easy to hide, so people in the work force and young kids have them

I'm seeing lots of nostril piercings in women who have no other piercings but lobes.  I think it can vary by region, by age and interest. Navels certainly are common piercings, but I'm not sure you can say they were always popular before Alicia Silverstone and Britney Spears.  Earlier piercing enthusiasts were more focused on nipples and genital piercings, as are people getting into piercing at older ages.  

Most common would be tongue, nostril, or stretch lobes.  All of which I have.  There are only so many things that people can do so at some point it will become more common.  As long as people do mods for themselves and it helps complete them, I'm for everyone have the exact same thing.

I don't think this is true. It seems like a lot of people are saying navel is one of the most common. And, as for me, my navel is well below my neck. lol.

I think that, in my area, its probably septum. Ask me a year ago, and I would have said eyebrow, but they seem to be less common now.

 Well, how do you know a PA isn't the most popular, for instance?  It probably is, among men over 18, or at least one of the most popular.  I'm just saying it varies by demographic, and visible piercings don't tell the whole story.  

The title of the thread is "What DO YOU THINK is the most common piercing or mod?".  People's answers are based on what they've seen in their area, and I doubt men over 18 are walking around with their PA's hangin out.
