    Changing jewelry - too soon?

    Hey, guys.

I had my lobes re-pierced a couple weeks ago at 10g. I had two pre-existing holes in each lobe. According to the piercer, my first holes (which I had pierced with a gun circa age 7) were placed too low for stretching, so he pierced above/between the two holes on each ear. Does that make sense? I couldn't figure out a more descriptive way to word it...

Anyway, these steel CBRs are annoying and unattractive. I really want to replace them with glass plugs. Is it too early to do that if they're still showing minor signs of irritation? Also, was the above wise to do? I'm assuming I'll have to be very careful about stretching because of those pre-existing holes on either side of my new ones...

So did the piercer use the piercing needle to scalpel the existing hole open a bit bigger? Oh wait I get it. So now you have 3 piercings on each lobe. Hm... I'm surprised he did it that way. If you stretch the middle hole too much, there's a chance it will wear down the tissue between the other holes and make one big long hole. Its way too early to change jewelry, at least by yourself. Your piercer might change them for you, but I wouldn't risk it. And what do you mean by irritated? Crusty still, or something else?

I agree with BabyPie, it's too early to be changing your jewelry.

Are you planning on scalpelling all three holes into one in the future?

    Lobes: 5/8" lobes x2; 2g x1 (2nd hole); 4g x1 (3rd hole). 10g septum. 8g tongue. 12g nipple. 16g eyebrow. 2.5 year old dreads. Sternum microdermal (rejected).
