    stretching from smaller then 20G?

I currently have 4 piercings in each ear, 2 are at 8G, and the other 6 are at a size that is smaller then 20G. I don't even know exactly what size it is, but on the gauge card you get from BAF, I layed the earrings that I currently wear in those holes, and it was about half the size of 20G. I've had the same silver rings in it for more then 7 years now, I bought them once at a local jewelry store, but now I got this crazy idea in my head that I would like to wear something different in those holes, except it seems impossible to find jewelry that small. So that leads to my question, what does one do if you want to stretch holes that tiny? I know that those holes are really not stretchy as they currently are, and BAF only sells tapers from 18G onwards.. I would tape my current earrings, but since they are so tiny (with also a very small wearable area) and curved to boot, I don't think that would go very well.. Any ideas? Oh, and another thing, I heard one time that wearing pure silver in your ears for a long period of time wasn't good, but I never really got why (silver poisoning perhaps, but with healed piercings I don't think that would be much of a problem). I've worn my silver rings now for over 7 years and never had any issues at all, but if it is bad, why is that exactly?

Some people have reactions to impure silver, others such as yourself do not.

You could use a nostril nail in 20g for your first stretch as it has a rounded end:

i find it hard to believe that there is jewelry made smaller than 20g, but lets assume this is possible.  first, lets try and figure out what size youre currently at...  18g is approx 1mm.  20g is approx 0.8mm.  if you think your jewelry is half the size of 20g (or 0.4mm) then thats about a 26g.  that (26g) is some seriously thin wire/jewelry...

personally, i think you might just ponder about your goals for a bit...  if you just want to wear regular 18g/20g jewelry in these piercings - *part removed by Ann*  and put in something 'normal' like a ss or ti cbr to heal the fresh stretch for 8 weeks.  actually i would prolly get a 'real' piercer to do this for me - since i imagine that this stretch will be painful.

if your goal is to go larger than regular earrings, id DEFINITELY go to a piercer and discuss options and let him/her evaluate your situation...  gl, h.

exactly 8.25250000001mm (0g) ear lobes ? goal reached, but currently downsizing/healing old wounds... so that i can create -new- ones... lol...

HII method: harold is insane... make sure to read everything i say and follow the most-insane ideas. if youre lucky - you can be insane too. 8-)

heh no I just want to stretch to "normal" size earrings. and yea the earrings are super super thin and really bendy, part of the reason I never take them out xD as for going to a piercing shop to get it done, under normal circumstances I'd say yea sure, but in the netherlands very few piercers actually have experience with stretching, in fact when I first wanted to start stretching I went to a piercing shop which has a good local reputation, is sanitary etc. and they gave me a 2G talon to stretch with! I would just get my earrings repierced, but stretching them myself seems like a much cheaper option, considering shops here charge 30 euro per ear for one piercing.. (not to mention the fact that I only have about 10 bucks heh) I really would like a jewelry change in those piercings, but it kind of seems like it would be a bit of a pain in the behind either way :/

See if you can slip a 20g piece of jewelry into your lobes. Like axon pointed out... you can try nostril jewelry... If that fits uncomfortable try having your lobes repierced at maybe an 18g, there are more options in 18g than 20... and the thicker the gauge the less chance of the cheese cutter effect....

    Im just that awesome!
