    Poor placement/small lobes?

    Alright, here's some pictures:

    Left

    Left - no plug

    http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm117/patsyxcore/Left-noplug.jpg

    Right

    Right - no plug

    http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm117/patsyxcore/Right-noplug.jpg

They're both at 0g in those pictures, now I have a few questions:

    1) My goal size is one inch. Is the piercing too low, or are my lobes too small to reach that size?

    2) If I can't, what size do you guys think my lobes are capable of reaching (approximately)?

    3) I've been using methods such as sleeping/showering without jewelry in, oil massages, and downsizing and restretching. Is there anything else suggested that I should be doing?

    4) Why? (To all questions)

Please answer every question you can, and provide reasons as to why you feel that way. I've been getting really paranoid about placement/lobe size issues lately, and I've been wondering if it's a valid concern.

Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

    11mm lobes. :)

If you go slow enough and yo-yo between sizes and massages I think you can do it... but you will have to go slow and not force anything... I think almost anyone can get to rather large sizes with patience and work...

    Im just that awesome!

I'm sorry if I seem rude, but I'm reeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyyy worried about this.

If someone could answer all the questions.. it would be great.

I'm mostly worried about the placement, so could anyone tell me if it's bad placement? Or okay/good placement?

Or.. if my lobes are just stupid and small? Or regular sized?

your placement looks fine to me. it seems to be centered.

as for your lobes, they may be a little small, but i'd say they're pretty much regular size...

they look like they were pierced in the right place to me. your ears dont have a huge amount of area to work with, but as was said above, if you take it really slow and downsize every so often, you could get there one day.

going up in size will change the shape of your lobes to accomodate the streches.  I had pretty small lobes that were a bit strangely shaped when I first started streching, but as i streched more it worked out the akwardness of the lobe's shape and actually looks really good.  You may hit a point where the rign causes the ear to have a slightly deformed shape, that is alright because its a size or two away from working itself out

Tbh, no I wouldn't say they're perfectly centred.

Mine was pierced off centre, my lobes were about the same size as yours but my placement was much worse and I only got to about 10mm.

If I were you, I'd keep going, just take it slowly, yo-yo up and down a bit and if you still aren't thick enough to get to an inch consider scalpelling, either to correct placement or to avoid exploiting your thinner area.

Thanks guys! I'll update once I get to 10mm.

Is it a problem with the mods for someone to revive a dead thread that they posted? Or no?

According to the rules you should keep your thread updated... so if you started it and you're updating its ok. However if you're just reviving to be posting its a different story! So feel free to update this thread if you want!

    Re: Poor placement/small lobes?

This is sorta on the same subject, and is sorta an update, so I thought I'd post this:

-I reeaaaaally wanna get my second holes done, and begin stretching those, but I'm worried that it will hinder how far I'll be able to stretch the bottom hole. I have a few questions (again):

    1) Will it change how far I can stretch the first hole?

    2) If they start getting too close, could I just take the second ones out, let them downsize, and continue stretching the first ones?

    3) Since I'd be stretching both at the same time, would that put a large amount of stress on the holes?

    Thanks for the help. :)

    Re: Poor placement/small lobes?

I only have one second, on my left ear, that is at 4g. If you let your piercer know ahead of time that you're going to continue stretching the bottom lobes (and the 2nds) they will place it accordingly. My 2nd bumps up against the 1st if both plugs happen to have large faces on them. Its a little uncomfortable, so I like to sleep either in Kaos or with nothing in. I didn't have a lot of space between mine when I got them done (with the gun) but I do now because of massages. If you see them getting too close together, yes you could take the 2nd out and downsize otherwise they might rub against each other too much (like mine did at one point).  I'm not sure how big you want to go, so really your piercer will be able to give you the best advice. You could probably get the 2nds done with a larger piercing needle just to get things going if you have the room.

My goal size is one inch. I really want stretched second holes, but I'd wayy rather have just one inch firsts
