Also, has anyone ever worn a GG claw in a conch piercing? I wanna try it one day lol I think you might need 2-0g claws for it to work tho, otherwise I think the point of the claw would just poke the back of your ear...

Hmmm 'conchs' is a plural of conch, but the dictionary says 'conches' is as well (unlike my browser spellcheck...)

Anyway, as I was punched at 2g and stretched to 0g, when I downsize should I go all the way down to 2g, or maybe just 1g? I'm just gonna stretch back up again, so I think 1g would be fine, but it's just that it'd still be bigger than the original punch...

I don't see why going to 1g was a problem... I would give the peircer a call and see what they have to say

I guess it depends on whether you pronounce it 'conCH' or 'conK' ya know?  (like the soft ch sound or the hard ck sound)  ConKs or chonCHes. haha

Goes over pronunciation, however I was told the shell can be pronounced both ways, more as a regional pronunciation... Im not 100% if that rings true for the anatomical pronunciation.

And to get back on topic... Im pretty sure, as we all should know, that 1g/7mm tapers are hard to find and the only ones Ive seen have been custom made glass, or acrylic... So maybe that was all that was available to his piercer... I dont think you wanna go dead streatching a fresh punch... 

As far as downsizing... 1g is a good size, but far less jewelry options than 2g... 

 Well I called the studio and they said I should just go to 2g, to really relieve the pressure. I'll prolly get a pair of 1g for the stretch back up tho (and can always use them for lobies later on too). I also got them to check their oval colorfront plugs, and they have a pair of 1/2"s that I'll be ordering next payday! lol I'm a sucker for discontinued stuff... lol

And I changed the spelling in my sig to 'conches' as that's how I pronounce it lol

heheheh, I can't wait till I change plugs, coz then I'll get to see em NAKEY lol

 How did I miss this thread? Those look great! I'd be a bit iffy about a piercer stretching 2mm on a fresh punch, but all seems well and since you are downsizing no harm done I guess. Keep us updated as it heals, those are going to look amazing when you reach your lobe goal size :D

 I'm going for 2g conches in a few weeks too, now you have me even more excited. 

Thanks! And yea the stretch was a big one, and hurt (for more than a day afterwords lol), but at least there wasn't a fistula to tear or anything...

With matching sets of power plugs ('conical' style for conches), matching stone plugs, matching 'magic spirals', matching GG claws, etc etc etc lol (I'm gonna have NO trouble with running out of jewelry to buy... hah)

I just quickly rinsed the plugs and put a little emu oil on them, and checked a 2g plug in one of the holes too... (it's not often that people are impatient to *downsize* hey haha) It was prettttty loose, I think I may even go to 1g first for like a week, before 2g lol

AH!  The second picture made me quiver for a second for some reason. haha  I LOVE the clear plug.  Looks awesome, Rodger!!
