    Rook piercing pain and swelling!

I got my rook pierced 2 days ago and it killing me!The swelling is pretty bad.I can still see a tad bit of the bar on the bottom. My question is how long does swelling last?I am not able to get any soap worked trough it at all because of the swelling. Is this ok?I am doing sea salt soaks and i took some motrin just about 30 mins ago.Im still soaping it up twice a day around the out sides of it.I have an Industrial and a nostril piercing but this on by far hurts the most![:'(]..He had to put some effort to get the needle trough and i think thats where all the swellings come from. Its almost even a little bruised..

Just make sure it doesn't eat the jewelry

I'm a slight perfectionist, though I understand the balance of both perfection and imperfection; for what we are not makes us what we are, and vice versa.

My rooks were painful for about a year and a half, you may experience tenderness for quite some time.

Remember, don't get soap inside the piercing by turning the jewelry. Trust me, I learned the hard way.

Well i had to have it taken out yesterday. It had got so swollen that it was almost about to eat the bar.I went to a different piercer and he said that the bar was way to short and that it was pierced way to far back.So i had to let it go.As soon as it was out my ear went doen in a matter of hours and this morning its not swollen at all.It still hurts a bit but in no way like it did the other day.
