I just got it done today, btw.

and I really dislike the place I go for piercings now.

Heres the story..

So when I got there the piercing guy gave me the 3rd degree asking why I wanted my tongue done and stuff. And I was like "cause I just do...?" and aghh. And he looked to my mom and was like "Youre letting her get this?" And was like "you know what theyre usedddd for, right?" " I would never let my daughter.."

 And just ugh. it wasnt very nice.

Was he okay to say that stuff?

Or am I just taking it wrong..

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I got it NOT for sexual things, obviously.

But I reasured her she was the best mommy and It doesnt matter what people sayy.

I don't know lick about tongues (har har) but I don't believe it was his place to say anything like that.

That's very stereotypical. Sure, maybe the reason some people want to get an oral piercing is to increase pleasure, but what about aestetics? I think it's far more common for someone to love a piercing for its look than what it can possibly do.

That was waaaaay out of line. I would have left and never gone back. What an asshole. It's none of his business why you are getting it done.

asking veiled sexual questions of a 15yo is quite creepy.  

 Find a new shop. I don't know what the laws are in your state, but my piercer won't pierce tongues on anyone younger than 16 even with parental consent.That's creepy that he would ask those kinds of things, way out of line. You're a paying customer, and if its legal to do, it's none of his buisness as to why you want it.

 My nieces got thier navels pierced at 15 and 16, with thier mother's permission. The piercer told them not to use their stomachs as "cum targets" I believe was the wording. I got pretty peeved and along with another bad experience I've had there, I direct people to other shops I trust in town.

 I think it's way out of line for piercers to talk to younger people like that.

 It may just be me, and that I'm used to piercers who are hard asses. But I think that both piercer's were in the right. They've probly been too trusting in the past, and that it came back to bite them.  Just because one or two people are the exeption doesn't mean there aren't still hundeds of others who are total morons. Either way he probly wasn't singling you out as the one and only 15 year old  to ever get her tongue pierced. No matter what there will always be people with less tact, or ablity to "properly" get thier point across in a sensitive matter. Plus you had the power, you could have easily just walked out and gone to another shop.

As for piercing placement.... it's all personal taste, he did mark you and ask you to see if it was okay... nonetheless you have two options. Take it out and let it heal re-pierce at a later time. Or wait a few weeks let the swelling subside and see where the piercing settles and then decide, Keep or Re-pierce.

I see no worries about your placement.  In the first picture it looks off center due to my guess the angle the picture was taken.  But in the second one it looks just fine.  No lower than my own. 

 And as far as the statements the piercer made to you, since you're 15 I would say he was a little out of line. But as WastedAngel wrote my piercers were hard asses also. But sadly I live in Mississippi where the laws state that you have to be 18years old to get a piecred and/or tattooed no matter what, no if ands or buts.  So I was older and could just laugh and brush off the crude hummor. But like someone else said, asking a 15 year about her sex life in front of her mother, kinda out of line.

thats about the same area that my tounge ring is at. its not too low. it looks about right. but some people do prefer them farther back.

Depending on your anatomy, that may have been the only place safe enough to pierce. Mine is lower than where I wanted it, but if it were placed any higher, it'd irritate my tongue web all the time. I'm happy with it now. If sits perfectly so it does not bother my web, nor my teeth.

 same with mine kelly.  mine had to be done at an angle because of my webbing.  the top is farther back than the bottom. 

gonna make for a strange split I think :)

mine was also done at a slight angle for comfort with my webbing, and i'm glad for it having stretched.
when are you going to split your tongue quinnn?

 I was going to do it this summer but I had a lot of dental appointments and didn't want to gross them out with a healing tongue split (no matter how interested my dentist is).  Now I'll have to wait til xmas break or next summer.  I want to give myself 2 weeks healing before assaulting coworkers with it :)
