    My snakebites...

Okay, I am stupid and never got the healing jewelry taken out, which were labrets. I got some jewelry and was gonna switch it myself, but I couldn't... Lol

Anyways, went to my piercer and he switched for me... I figured 6.5mm was fine when I got the jewelry but, it's kinda hanging. Either way I ordered some jewelry from BAF a bit before this, and thought I ordered to small... (5mm) captive ring, that's why I just got some jewelry from the shop instead. I'm pretty sure they will fit much better than the 6.5mm I have in right now, + they're titanium so it won't pull as much, kinda heavy but not bad with 12g steel. >_>

So, my question is what should do till then? I have to wait 2 weeks ish for the rings to get here, and get them switched out. So, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make my face more comfortable. Using a straw already because they get in the way of drinking by hanging towards the middle of my lips. >_<

Thanks, sorry for the big post.

When I hold it out with my lip it's like that. I think it sticks out a tiny bit more than the pic shows.

How long have you had the piercings themselves? How long after getting them done did you switch it out to the CBRs you have in right now? (Sorry if I missed the answers somewhere in your post).

If the piercings are still fairly new, I advise against switching them out so much. For healing, straight-shaft jewelry (like a labret stud) is always the best for me, since it tends to move around and irritate the healing fistulas much less.

Oh i've had them in much to long, 7 months. (Like I said i'm an idiot.) Result is scar tissue, which I need to deal with as well...

I had labrets, and switched to rings today, and they're too big. T_T Waiting for the jewelry is gonna be annoying unless I get used to this. It's not because it's heavy, it's because the diameter is to off. it's maybe 1.5-2mm bigger than it needs to be. The rings I ordered are 1.5mm less so i'm just waiting it out. T_T

(sorry if that's like the same thing I said before) >_<

    Oh, gotcha. :)

Well, I suppose you could wait it out so long as the current large diameter ones aren't irritating you. If they prove to be a bother, I'd return to the labret studs (and if you aren't comfortable switching them yourself, I'm sure your piercer wouldn't have a problem helping out.)

As far as the scar tissue goes, massaging with jojoba/emu/vitamin e or other types of oil should help.

I wouldn't want them back in, they're too long. jewelry for swelling. but I guess basically thats what these are considering where i'm pierced. -_-

If I really need to switch them out though i'll just get new jewelry (expensive.) -_-

Looking for tips on my scar tissue and relaxing my lips. >_<
