What does the two stripes arm band mean?

    What does the two stripes arm band mean?

    I've been seeing more and more of those. Basically it's the two solid black bands on the forearm. What does it mean? I know it has nothing to do with being straight edge because the ones I know personally are big druggies. Does it have any significant meanings?

    I don't see them often, just randomly since we just know each other from other people.

     I could be wrong, but doesn't Gay Pride use two bars for their symbol?

     its not necessarily a gay pride thing. its an equality sign.

    The people he knows are 'druggies', therefore their tattoos are not related to straight edge morals.

    (This is a bit late) But!

    A LOT of people in WA have them. They're everywhere! Its a Tribal thing..or some could say a 'Hippy' thing. The 'equality' symbol is a good guess too, but I know majority of my friends who have them are based around Latin American Tribal designs. I ALMOST got them a few weeks ago, funny enough. Thats a lot of fill though, ouch!
