i just got mine done a week and a half ago. however, im not scared they will get torn out. all that i can share with you is what patrick, my piercer, told me.
for the 1st week its good to wear bandaids that have the adhesive all the way around them (you know the little square ones) with the padded non-sticky part on the microdermal. reasoning: it puts some pressure on the microdermals to keep them in your skin while your skin "fuses", more or less, to the anchor. heres my advice on these bandaids. DO NOT GET THE SUPER ADHESIVE ONES!!!!! i learned the hard way, and changing the bandaids to sss and remove excess blood/lymph regularly ended up in me having torn chunks of skin where the adhesive sat :( i switched bandaids though, got the regular adhesive bandages and it was smooth sailing. my microdermals are in there pretty far. I have heard of people having microdermals that poke out or that are droopy. but patrick assured me that if i wore the bandaids for the first week that 99% there will be NO drooping which equals less chance of getting caught on them.
NO chlorine, dirty water etc. this means no baths :p unless of course, your thoroughly clean your tub with a bleach agent and then rinse the bleach out. and you would have had to be freshly showered.
dont over-clean or over fuss.
so basically, thats all i can tell you that is more for sure
but one thing i like, since the salt can be over-irritating if you use it to much, microdermals are my most lymphy bloody crusty little buggers ever! and it starts to itch so i just get a little cup with warm water and soak it, with no salt, because i can not stand the itchiness, but i dont want to over irritate them.
I just came by to kill you, nobody was home...
