    Conduct in forums.

One thing I've noticed in these forums is that people who post questions...they tend to sometimes get negative reactions.

I don't believe that there is need for a condescending (or sometimes outright insulting) tone in responses...I do believe that the reason that the forum is here is so that those who aren't enlightened can get info from those who are. Please, try not to make curious and naive people feel stupid with your responses. If they were as stupid or as foolish as some make them sound when responding, then they would not have posted a question in the first place. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the forum is made to help spread information, not to put down others.[hmm]

I agree fully. I've noticed across MANY piercing boards that people who have been into this a while and are knowledgeable seem to think others are stupid or something, or treat them like morons.

I feel the problem is the piercers who don't take the time of day to explain to people what healing times are, when they can change out their jewelry, what to clean them with, what GAUGE they are pierced with and what they can change out to after they heal, the list goes on and on and on.

So I don't know. I'm not gonna delete every post where people come across a bit rude. BUT, please alert me about particular posts and I can PM someone to ask them to keep it down just a tad.

Pfffffffffffft. Elitism runs the internet, and runs the bodymod scene. If you can't compete, and you ask stupid questions, you should be shot.

    End of story.

    Idiots get killed.

OMG Whitey. Okay, we do not want it that way at OUR FORUMS. If people want to play in the BODYARTFORMS FORUMS, then they MUST play nice, and treat others with respect REGARDLESS OF HOW STUPID WE *THINK* THE QUESTION IS. And THAT is how it is HERE. If people want to be rude a**holes.. they can take their s**t to another forum.

Edit: I'm hoping that you were being sarcastic too.. and that maybe I didn't catch it [eek]

tristan, I never thought it would come to this, but I've actually created a forum with rules of conduct guidelines. Ya think people wouldn't need them... but uh.. I guess they do. So I hope it helps out a bit.
