I don't actually own an but she got my emu oil from Wal-Mart.
It's in a clear rectangular bottle and it's made by Kalaya.

Haha alright, thanks. I went looking for some but couldn't find any at walgreens. Regardless i bought some from BAF, so now I'm waiting.

...hahaha... at this point, for some reason i was imagining 'milking' an emu (for its oil) - and i again appreciated the (internally generated) visual... lol

My mom got my first bottle of emu oil for me. It's in a glass bottle with a pump on the top though. It never looks... oily? it kinda has the consistency of butter (when in the bottle) but as soon as I pump some out it turns to liquid so I never really thought of warming it up o.O haha

Besides all that... it works wonders on my ears! My lobes love it and it really helped to heal them up nicely. Now I have some jojoba oil which I'll use in the meantime until I stretch up to a 0g... then it's back on to my wonderful emu oil.

Emu oil solidifies when placed into cooler temperatures. It's possible, though you'd have to run it under warm water prior to each use.

anyone store their emu oil in the fridge? i keep my flax, salmon, epo and vit e in the fridge. its supposed to keep them from going rancid as quickly.

I'd agree that I've never noticed an odor either, but I have heard more than a few people say that this is something that turns them off to emu oil. Maybe different batches have different smells? Also, jojoba oil shouldn't really have a strong noticeable smell, since it's often used as a "base oil" for essential oils (to make massage oils, etc). They (oils) can go bad so I would make sure what you're using isn't just old and rancid, thus causing the odor.

some bottles i've had have had more of smell than others. to me it is not that unpleasant, and is sort of a leathery smell and i can see how some people wouldn't like that. i think its a preference thing.

i've always loved emu oil for my piercings over jojoba because of its consistancy, i feel like it absorbs into my lobes better and keeps it well moisturized longer.

doh !!! lol. those are such tiny bottles it never even occurs to me to -really- shake, but i guess it cannot hurt... lol - sometimes i can be such a doofus...

ive only used the semi-freebie emu-oil from baf - and oddly, i notice a scent sometimes and not at other-times... sometimes it comes out thick, other times it is very thin... i admit i have like 4 bottles of it and am not terribly consistent about which i use when - but now that you mention the concept of 'rancid'... ill have to go check which is which and maybe toss the smelly and/or thin one(s)... ive always just chalked the differences up to temperature and my nose-sensitivity for that day...
