Chin Piercing

Does anyone know much about these? An example: http://www.bme.com/pierce/11-surface/A91111/high/jniw-nacho-mvds-coastline.jpg So I'm assuming straight surface piercing, so probably has a good chance of rejection... would probably leave a cleft chin scar type thing? I mean, I usually have stubble anyway so scars would probably be relatively hidden. Yes, I'm seriously considering this. It's probably one of those that's not advisable but I'm still interested and intrigued on your opinions.

Ok last week I was going to get my septum pierced how ever was not able due to last min problems. After sitting with my piercer and him feeling up my nose for ages.

He decided that due to a small sweet spot he decided that a 14g would be better for me then I could stretch after healing to original planned 10g. Who knows if I'll stop there though. I am wearing a le roi retainer and love it. So far so good even my work is ok with it YEAH!!!! Ignore the maps in the back I was at work when I snapped the photo.

Sorry for the sh*t photos it is the end of the week and I am drained!

funky smell lip piercings

I have 3 lip piercings. i have snakebites and a center labret. I have had each lip piercing for over a year and never had problems. But when I wear studs it makes the area smell funky and it has a moist residue around the hole. When I wear hoops they dont smell at all.

What is causing this and how do I stop it?

My web piercing randomly started acting up on... I'd say Monday.

Monday, it sort of felt like the barbell was pinching on my webbing, on the left side. I didn't think too much of it.

Yesterday, it was sort of sore. Again, it was just the left side and I ignored it. I did a couple of salt water rinses to see if that would help at all.

This morning, I woke up and the left side was swollen twice its normal size. It's gotten worse as the day's gone by. It looks like it's swelling over the ball- if I push on the right side, it'll pop out. It also appears to be covered in plaque, which is sort of odd, because only the right side really gets plaque build up.

I've had it for eleven months, if that helps at all. I really just want to know what's up with it, and hope I can make it better, because this is above all my favorite piercing.

Piercings you never thought you'd get?

How many of you have piercing that some time ago you never thought you'd ever want to get? Or maybe you thought you'd never stretch any piercings?

Myself, about 10 months ago when I first got my lobe piercings, I'd always dismissed stretching just out of hand lol. I guess I thought it was creepy, and not very 'classy' really... Until I discovered large gauge jewelry that *wasn't* kinda tacky acrylic image plugs that is! hahah

Also my apadravya of course... I wonder if any guys here with PAs/apas or anything like that *didn't* think "oh no, I'm not letting a needle near my junk ever!"? Maybe before getting into piercing at least anyway heheh...

I also never thought I'd want a tongue or any kinda nasal piercing... But I've found myself thinking about getting the septum recently, and just today even thinking about a tongue piercing... to *stretch*! lol

I guess this stuff really is addictive hey.

navel piercing question

my piercing guy wants 2 pierce my navel with a circular barbell (i guess thats what it's called) but i have had my navel pierced twice with one of those and it didnt work out...i think it was b/c it flopped around 2 much....i just never could get it 2 heal...so my question is

is there a curved barbell i can buy here on baf that is long enough 2 be comfy and i can use as my initial jewelry?

wanting to stretch gauges more, but scar tissue is stopping me.

i really want to stretch my gauges bigger, but they are really tight and have been healing for months. they are at 7/16 and i really want to size up, but i don't want my ears to tear. does anyone have any ideas on how to possibly get rid of some scar tissue or stretch them without possibly tearing them?

I was thinking of getting a philtrum piercing but I'm unsure, I want something that looks nice on me. know some people get them for emotional value but, for me the experience of getting it done is sentimental enough for me.A friend suggested a monroe but Im not sure :D any help is appreciated. I tried to photo-shop piercings on but they all looked good to me D;

I got my left nostril pierced recently as it's always been something I've wanted done just never did. I've had just about everything else pierced along with my navel. This is the first piercing that I've had people come up to me and tell me only women get it done. I could care less but I just think it's funny that people are still like this. I asked them all that since I had my right ear pierced as well, am I also gay? Or was that stereotype not applicable anymore.

Okay, so I have both lobes pierced, my helix pierced in my right ear and my conch pierced in my left ear. I really want to add some piercings to my ears, but I'm unsure about what to get that would compliment my existing ones. If anyone has any advice about possible piercings, I would love to hear from you. :)

Hiding a septum piercing for long periods?

Hi. Im thinking about getting my septum pierced but because of school and work im going to have to hide it alot. A friend of mine has hers pierced and she says keeping it flipped up for a while is a bit irritating. So i was thinking that maybe i could get labret jewelry instead of the normal ring. Could this be possible?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but anyway;
I have my bridge pierced for the second time, and after a year of trouble with it, it settled a few months ago.
It has moved more forward and there is scars on each side behind where the balls sit where it was initally pierced.

Is it safe to use vitamin E oil etc for those scars and not have it upset the piercing itself?

Also; If I decide to retire it if it moves anymore further forward, would it still be a good idea to get it repierced after it's all healed up?
It is one of my favourite piercings and I really don't want to be without it.

im gonna get the septum.gonna run me 50 bucks to get it with a retainer though =( ouch

one place will pierce at 12 and one at 14.? hmm i think id wanna go to 10g so i can wear earskins.

will my nose droop if i go to 10g?

how long would i have to wait to stretch from14-12 or 12g to 10g is it the standard 6 month healing waiting period, followed by the same waits as you would use with stretching ears??

and if i wear a 10g earskin is it visible at all.???

I noticed that not alot of people have this. Maybe it has a cool name attached to it by now lol. I can never keep up. I am actually kinda considering it. I already have the left side done and its been about 8-9 months since the initial piercing. Should I wait longer to get the second piercing or is it ok to go ahead and get it? Also should the next piercing be vertical or horizontal with my first one? Do any of you have it done?

What do you think is the most common piercing or mod?

i am curious as to what you think is the most common piercing (and i don't mean standard earlobes). Whats the most uncommon? I personally think the most common is the navel, just because it's always been popular.

I am getting my septum pierced tomorrow and am wondering what gage to get it at. I will not be stretching it (at least I do not think so). I had it pierced when I was younger at a 14g and thought it was too dainty for my face, I have rather strong features. I was thinking about having it pierced at a 10 or 6g.

What do you think?

Peeing and Penis Piercings

I have been considering an apadrayva or possibly a PA. I have always wondered about what happens when you pee with one of these? Does pee leak out of the bottom hole? Is it harder to pee after it has healed?

Just wondering what interesting reactions people have had with kids and their piercings... story telling time!!

I think the funniest, [and also most painful] reaction I've had was last Memorial Day at my friend's house... his little boy, Colby, had been tip toeing around me all day... he's only a little guy and hadn't seen me in a while, so he was playing shy. Before I left, he came up to me and did the "pick me up" gesture, so I complied. While I was holding him and talking to his mom, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that he was staring at me. I turned my head to look at him, and before I could react or move my face away, he latched onto the ball of my labret stud and PULLED. Now, grant you, this piercing was fairly new, so still a little tender... thank God this kid is so cute, because after letting go and allowing the disk of my stud snap against my teeth, he proceeded to giggle at me then swirm out of my arms and scamper away, as if he had been waiting all day just to get his hands on the shiny ball under my lip.

I love little kids. =P

I got my conch punched Saturday :D yay!

After an arduous 3 years of wanting them desperately, and not being able to find anyone that would do it, I finally got it :) I've been smiling from ear to ear since Saturday haha. I'm going to try to wait until I can at least sleep on my ear before I get my other one done, seemed like a good idea to me, but the asymmetry is eating me alive :b.

Any tips on healing? Or what to expect? I'm pretty read up, but I feel like I probably don't know all the little fine details.

Eee, I'm just so happy :).

Conch To Helix Industrial?

I was interested in getting an industrial for the longest time. Just a standard one. After researching here on BAF and a couple other sites/shops, i kind of gave up hope, it seems like it is next to impossible to deal with and heal. Correct me if i am mistaken on that part, that is just what everyone seemed to tell me. However, i saw a picture on a piercing site that really interested me. It is of a somewhat vertical industrial. It goes from conch to helix but not directly down, still angled. I was wondering a couple things. But first off, heres the picture:

1) This seems like it would be easier to heal(less pressure) and easier to avoid bumping. am i right?

2) this has the same kind of look as a standard industrial in this picture, is that just this guys ear, or if i request it like so, will it look like this? (that may be a stupid question haha)

Main thing is the healing that i am looking at. If it is easier to heal and maintain, which i can imagine it being so, then i think i will go for this. Also, pain isnt much of a factor for me, but out of curiosity, if anyone knows, how much would this hurt?

how bad are cheek piercings?

I have been wanting to get my cheeks pierced for a while now , but i was just wondering how bad it was. Pain and healing both,will it leae a very bad scare? Also as far as pain when getting the piercing, i have my nipps pierced anyone with both cheeks and nipps please let me know which was worst thatnk you.

I have 0g black colorfronts in my ears as of like 2 hours ago! wooo

Got punched at 2g, and stretched straight to 0g wasn't the most comfortable thing ever lol. the left one was first, and seemed to be a little nicer, I was actually kinda surprised when he said he was done too, nice and quick . My right one tho he kinda needed to give it an extra shove when puching, and the taper goin through did make my legs curl up a bit haha

And no, I didn't eat the chunks that got cut out
