Entire site up ... still working on keyword search/filters

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm finally done converting all our pages at the site. If you find any errors please feel free to post them here and I will look into them :)

As for filters/keyword search/ new restock page... we are currently working on those. They are very complex, but when we release our new system it should be even faster than what we have now. The searching will be better on the keywords as well.

That probably won't be up until next week though...

Sorry for all the trouble and hopefully this will eliminate our problems!

problems changing avatar

I've been unable to change my avatar all of today. When I try, it either says the page is loading for 10 minutes or so, or it goes to the "oops, something went wrong" page. Is anyone else having this issue? I wasn't sure if it was something still being repaired of if my computer/internet/whatever is being wonky.

If it's helpful, I'm using Safari on a MacBook, and have been able to change it in the past.

Suggestions?

Besides sales and discounts, is there anything else that you'd like to see BAF doing? Any website upgrades that you think would make your shopping experiences better?

Error message when trying to place an order

I keep getting an error message when I try to either place an item in my basket (only some of the time), or view my basket (all the time). Sometimes it clears my basket and sometimes I'll have hundreds of dollars worth of stuff in there. Any suggestions?

Wow.. ok we finally have most of the filters in place! Let us know how it goes... hopefully the site won't run too slow. If anything it should be a tad faster than it was before I think.

We're still working on restock pages.. but the rest should be done. Preorders and show out of stock/not stock are still down. But the rest is all there and should be working correctly.

jewelry filters

hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong place but I just wanted to let you know that when I use the filters to search for products and select "industrial strength" and "titanium" no products show up. I'm not sure if you're still working on getting all the filters up (I know they were down for a while) or if this just got missed. : )

Site updates: What is back online

As of today we have the following back online:

All of the account section (history, billing info,redeeming points, etc)
Report order problem via online
Customer photos galleries
Customer registration

I have someone working on the filters now, because it's just too over my head. We are making progress but the filters are EXTREMELY complicated... I hope it all works out. One way or another we're gonna get them up.. I just hope it doesn't take longer than a couple of more days.

In the meantime while this other programmer is busting out of filters, I'm going to be focusing on the other pages at the site like Wishlists (tomorrow), and then any other small pages that need to be fixed.

I would estimate outside of the filters, the site is about 65% done now :) Thanks for being so patient!

Ok guys so I finally re-coded the wishlist page and it's back up. But just the basic one under your account.. I still have to do the public ones, and all the category pages, etc.

But until the filters are up it should make lives a bit easier if you had stuff you wanted in them :)

When will the site be fixed?

first timer soon to be buyer from Body Art Forms...can say that right now the sites kinda frustrating me because somethings are all funked up!

Does anyone know when everything will be working properly? Wanna buy lots of stuff. But it seems sketchy with the site acting up. And I'm mad cuz I wanted to put things I all want in a wish list but that doesn't work either! =( =(

Having problems joining the forums?

Hello every one, I'm new to the BAF forums but have been lingering around them for quite some time. I was attempting to join the forums and i went on at it for around a week or two. I tried using different e-mails things of the nature yet nothing.

What had seemed to fix my problem was contacting the BAF members themselfs.

I went to the BAF home page and clicked on the "contact us" link at the very top of the page. I filled out all my info and gave them my problem and i was shcoked at the rate in which they responded. The best part was tha it was actually a person helping me an not some programmed bot on the other side spamming me with pointless junk.

The point being my account was up and running as soon as they were informed of my problem. I just wanted to say thank you for the help on behalf of the BAF staff and I'm posting this in hopes of a friend helping a friend join the forums or anyone who may need any help on the subject.

Once again i want to send out a big thank you! to anyone who helped me along the lines

I tried to go onto the main site today and got a warning page from my computer (MacBook) that the site contained malware which might harm my computer. I noticed that the site was down for a while last night, and don't know if that had something to do with it, but I was browsing the main site earlier today and did not receive any such warnings. Dose anyone know what is going on?

Crooked barbell + other jewelry, can I open the bag?

Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place.

I ordered some industrial barbells a couple of days ago and recieved them today. They're in the same bag, but the problem is that one of the barbells is crooked and I have "reported an order problem" regarding this.

Can I still open the bag and use the other barbells or do I have to wait until I get a mail from BAF?
Also, sorry if this is a stupid question, I've never done this before...

Is it just me, or are the product pictures opening differently than usual. They usually come up in a little 'bubble' with the size under it. Now, they're opening on a separate page, with no size info. Does that make sense? Anyone else having this problem?

SITE FIX: Re-stock page filtering

I know for a couple of weeks you couldn't filter by two gauges, but it's fixed now. You should be able to filter the restock page (new layout) by up to 3 gauges, and up to 3 styles.

Added update to allow up to 3 styles of jewelry to be filtered at one time. So now you can filter up to 3 types of jewelry as well as 3 gauges.

I've tried logging in on other computers as well, however I'm pretty sure I've only used firefox. Any one have any ideas what's going on? I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm on a Macbook.

I know we've had clearance/sale sections for a while now, but one of the annoying things was that you couldn't filter all plugs that are on sale, or things like that. Well I've fixed it so now you can :)

Update: Photo gallery can now be filtered by gauge

Restock Email

I don't think my 'restock' email subscriptions are working. This has happened a few times: I sign up to be emailed when a product is restocked, and I never receive an email. But when I go to the 'restocked' page, it's there. Why am I not being emailed? Just curious.

I got lucky, one day. I'd been waiting for some coconut hangies for, like FOREVER. I signed up to be emailed, and never received anything, so I just thought they hadn't come in yet. Well, I went to the restocked products page, and there they were!! 1 pair!! I immediately ordered them!

I mean, if it can't be fixed, it's really okay. I'll just have to check the restocked page religiously. lol

Error message when I go to enter billing info?

I'm using Firefox, but I tried with IE and the page wouldn't even load. Any ideas? I've got my heart set on some turquoise plugs, I just wanna buy them!
