Today I'll begin with quick story. Was at the hockey game sitting next to a lady, her daughter, and her grandson. It was Boyscout day and they got in free I think. Anyway, it was their first hockey game, so I got to explaining what was going on and such, and she was nice and offered me candy and to buy me hot chocolate. I declined, but it was nice to offer. She wondered if pucks fly into the stands often and if fights happen all the time. It doesn't happen too often here, but guess what happens for her first game? A puck flew into the crowd and there was like *3* pretty harsh fights! haha, too much excitement for her first game she says
. Her grandson really enjoyed himself though, he wants to see another game. So yeah, I just thought that was pretty cool and fun talking to her
.
But moving on, the season's not even halfway through, so the posting of hockey pics shall continue!
The wee kids during intermission yet again.
Spike the mascot providing backup to the wee goalie.
This was funny, these kids were coming in hot (as hot as little kids all wobbly on their skates can be that is), fell and slid, and the one in white ended up scoring.
We were playing (and destroying) the worst team in the division. Which of course leads to frustration fights. If you look closely you can see two fighters on the floor behind the ones standing. This was the least gnarly fight of the game.
Away team was hanging on decently at first, but we really started to steamroll them late in the second period. At least they got 1.
Crummy pic :/ , too bad the face is unclear, but dude on left just plastered himself on the boards after the other guy barely avoided the hit.
And finally, I leave you with a pic from some weeks ago that I forgot about. Hmm, playing against the same team it occurs to me. Anyway, the net was dislodged and our guy was trapped like a tuna inside the net and against the wall.
And with that, I bid you good night. :)
