LOL I have been diggin on the centipede doll for years. Could be months, though... now that I think about it.

This little guy/girl has been hanging from my rearview mirror since I was 16 up untill fairly recently (covered in grease... lol) It was hanging in my living room, but I just found it in the closet... guess the boy was not as fond of it as me :D

This is awesome and I want one

I love that they're perched on something lichenous. :P

In all seriousness though, I do dig interesting the background materials I've seen popping up.

I'm a fan of the black sand. It's awesome. Oh, and the tiny white stones.

    Re: Post your pictures

Brian made me a lovely pair of stone spools. I oiled the front flares so the etched circle shows up with less contrast. They're enormous but pretty darn spiffy.

    Thanks again. <3

What kinda stone are they? (one pic looks gray, the other blue)

They're slate, though I'm not sure from what region. They're grey in real life, any variation is due to my inability to take great photos. :P

RO!  THOSE LOOK GREAT!  Yes! They are supposed to be huge.  Thats what Middle Woodland Ear Spools are all about. chunky, earthy, primitive.

Thats the look of the ancients right there!

Thank you for the compliments.  I bet they will grow on you even more in time since they do take getting used to.

The slate is an unbanded portion of the banded slate I've pictured.. It was laid down in a lake from melting glaciers billions of years ago in what is now Quebec and more recent glaciers bulldozed it from there to 1500 miles away (here) and dumped it off as a 'glacial erratic' or more like broken pieces of a glacial erratic. Pieces known as tillite.
