    Mixy:

I'm glad you all like it :) Most recently I dyed it with Manic Panic's Ultraviolet; under that it's a mix of the magenta and blue dyes my stylist had on hand. Usually I use MP's Purple Haze and it turns out very similarly, however Smile

Have you ever tried Special Effects? I have had almost every color hair imaginable and have tried pretty much all major brands available in North America. Special Effects brand has given me by far the brightest and longest lasting results. I never went back to Manic Panic or Punky Colours again, as I was sick of redoing the color every other week.

Here's a list of their colors and if you click on the actual color name, you can see user pics of each shade (with instructions on how they acheived the effect. :)

I've never used Punky Colours, but I have used Manic Panic and Special Effects atleast a few times each.  Consistently, Special Effects has always given me much brighter colors as well as usually lasting about twice as long as Manic Panic.

I've used both as well and they stay much better if you do a diluted vinegar rinse on your hair right after rinsing the dye. Just mix either  a tablespoon of white or apple cider vinegar into a cup of water and rinse, the smell will go away once it dries and it restores the PH balance of your hair and scalp plus closes the cuticle on your hair and smooths it down to help seal in the color.

We sure do talk about balls a lot here

Prof, looks good! I don't even have my nostril pierced, but I think it would be pissed at me if I stretched it. Looks owie.

Then again, my septum stretches itself. Who knows?

Kristian, I was about to complement you on your camera, then I read that you borrowed it from work. Nice camera! Silly facial expressions, ftw!

    Re: Hair colour

Yay. I finally cut my bangs because they were blocking my vision and driving me nuts at work. I also curled my hair a bit. Actually, this is pretty close to how my hair looks like if I don't straighten it out when it's drying. Hair colour is still a work in progress, it's fading brighter and brighter. My goal: become a peacock. I'm going to attempt to layer in different shades of blue and green in.

    Lily,

Do you have a layer of brown/black underneath or are my eyes failing me? Whenever I see photos of how beautiful your hair looks (everything from the style to the colour!) I always want to break out the dye and finally do mine. What brand of dye do you use?

Yes I do have a layer of brown/black underneath. Most of it is my natural colour, some parts were lightened to brown when I bleached it. I use a mixture of Manic Panic and Punky. However, if you can get SFX dyes, go for them. I haven't been able to locate them locally here yet (I saw them in a store one time, but forgot to write down the name/location), but I haven't heard a single bad thing about them yet and they last longer than the other dyes I use. My hair can hold most dyes pretty well, but then again, it's been bleached around 6 times in some parts. Eeep.
