So today, being the weekends and having nothing to do, I found myself calculating how much my bodysuit would cost me overall with price ranges from 125-250$ per hour. Or at least a rough estimate seeing as I'm not exactly sure how long it would take for things to get done, basing my estimations on proper logic and worst case scenarios and let's just say, after I'm done with the bodysuit, I would have been able to go to college and buy a Smart car (I still want one too.)

For the sake of curiosity (not that I have any doubts - art is expensive), how much have you or will you spend on your tattoos?

the two i have now cost $100 each. It was 100 an hour, but mine are kind of small.

My morning glories cost me $100. Three hours of work, all shading, no linework at all. Needless to say, I tipped well!

One of the artists Eric has been talking to requires a $300 deposit and ranges from $250-400/hour. We're estimating the whole thing with tip will probably be around $1000 minimum.

my 4 tattoos have cost about $510, one of them having to be re-done..I imagine one day I'll have $1000+ spent on them

someone asked me once how much money i'd spent on tattoos so far... and honestly i don't know. I have about 43 hours of professional tattooing done (about 3 DIY). Gen. estimate of $100/hr? plus tip?

Probably have well over $5k on my skin so far, and much more to come.

Edit: I have planned out the inside of my lip, a half sleeve on my left arm, the rest of my right arm up to my elbow, the top of my left hand, the inside of my left forearm, two rows of wording on my knuckles, my chest, both sides of my neck, a piece on my left thigh, from knee to ankle on both legs, the tops of both of my feet, the side of my right foot, and 4 individual pieces i have yet to pick a location for.. So i'm gonna be in the hole for awhile [:-boggled] lol

that and i have about almost 20 piercings waitlisted. oy..

My back ran $150 for the initial outline then $100/hour for filling in, which felt like it took forever, hehe. I don't remember exactly but I believe my shoulder was about $150 or so for a little over an hour of work.

i'm paying $400-$450 for my entire back piece on wednesday.

I have yet to tentatively calculate the cost of the tattoos I am considering. As of now, I am uncertain, but I do plan on either a quarter of half sleeve documenting a nebula (refer to username ). I've yet to decide on which one. Considering how intricate and detailed nebulae can be, I estimate many hours of work to complete the piece. That's the only major piece I have planned out as of now. I do have one smaller tattoo planned, but that shouldn't take more than one hour of work, and therefore not too much money.

So far I have about 16 hours of work on my body, and many, many more to come. I'm guessing that it has been around $1300.

I've spent A LOT! I have 10 hrs of work on my back, probably 2 more to go. I'm in for $1200

i have around 18 hours on my left arm which equals out to around $1100 my artist hooks me up... and i have like $300 into my right arm. im gonna start a sleeve on my right leg after i finally finish left arm sleeve and i figure thats gonna cost me somewhere between $1500 and $2000 and thats from my knee to my ankle!

well I've only got two tattoos as of yet.. one is really small and the other is pretty good-sized. the first one cost me $60 I think and the second was $200. so.. $260 so far, about $330 with tips. I've got plans to finish out my left half-sleeve later this month though.. so that number will obviously go up. plus plans for a right half-sleeve, rib pieces, and anything else I eventually dream-up. so it'll be a lot by the time I'm old. hah

So far I spent 250 on my chest piece with about 500 still to put into it, and 100 on the back of my neck.
