Finding good and safe scarification parlors?

Where and how do you find qualified scarification parlors? Being that this form of body art isn't as popular as tattooing and piercing...I imagine it'd be hard to find an artist that knows well what they're doing, or even harder to find, someone who's experienced in what they do. If one intends on having scarification done, how would he/she search for a parlor and how would he/she be able to tell if the artist is someone that could do the job well?

What part of the country are you in? PM me and I will recommend someone in your area. You might have to travel a little bit. But basically it is the same as finding a good tattooist/piercer. Look at the shop, how clean is it? Check for spore test results. What does the place smell like? Ask to see their portfolio. Ask to talk with people he/she has worked on. Make sure their portfolio has HEALED photos. These types of things.

I live in IL near St. Louis. I do not do the laser branding. I do strike and thermo cautery types of branding. If you let me know what part of the state you are in, via pm, I will recommend someone near you.

Piercing stuff is at www.deadserioustattoos.com , hopefully that will be back up soon. The other stuff I do I have a portfolio here, but I do not put it online for several reasons.
