    cheeks

Ive been considering getting my cheeks pierced for a while now, and I just want to hear what the piercing/healing process is like.

Are they painful getting pierced, do they swell?

Just give me some personal experiences.

    Thanks.

    Re: cheeks

piercing pain was pretty bad, not terrible but it felt like it took long
swelling was rather extreme for about 2 or 3 days
maybe a little discomfort for a little bit of time
then crusting for a long time
now theyre just about healed and theres no problems
except the occasional bitting the disc when eating (i need shorter posts)

Yeah, I am kind of worried about biting the posts and chipping my teeth.

luckily i havent chipped a tooth let, but i have bitten a disc so hard that it bent the threading and my tooth was sore for a few days
have you considered the possibility of micro dermals?

    Re: cheeks

FDA ADA approves dental acrylic balls for the inside of your mouth! I bit through maybe 4-5 pairs when I had my cheeks pierced and my teeth are just fine! The problem with cheeks? They are very sensitive to everything! At the time I didn't drink or smoke (I still don't smoke!) or eat dairy (dairy = mucus) so I was able to downsize rapidly. I only had to purchase the bars because where I went, you could buy everything separately. I's a very time consuming, expensive piercing and make sure the piercer's portfolio has SEVERAL pictures of cheeks in there! Just because they are APP doesn't mean they know how to do cheek piercings properly!
