A smaller gem than what goes into the single stone is not possible.  You can, however, order a steel gem ball on a post, and I'm sure you can get a smaller gem that way! :)

i'd just like to confirm that what you are sayingis that there is a way to get gem balls that fit on to posts that are larger than 12g?  if so what is the largest post size you can get them to fit?  and would this apply to the bezel or prong set ends as well of just the balls? sorry if this has been covered. i didn't want to try to sort through the whole thread but i checked on the anatometal web site it apears that the largest post any of the gem ends will fit is 12g (i just saw they have some for 10g on BAf.) though, i did see that barry posted some 6g navel curves. do all of your posts take the same sized threads? i don't actualy have any anatometal posts but if it's possible to get cute ends for larger gauged posts then i think i will be investing.

We have done gem balls up to 0g 5/8!  (see below)  And it applies only to the balls - we have, however, done 10/8 gauge in 3, 4, and 6mm bezel (but 6mm only comes in cab, or else it would sit waaaaay too high!).  No, not all of the posts have the same size threads... 12/14 has M1.2.  10/8 is 0-80.  So those match in thread-pitch!

I apologize in advance for the ... not-so-good shot.  You get the idea that it's a 0g curve with a big ol' gem ball!  You can even see my silly little camera!!!

 Someone just ordered some in yellow ti.  Super blings.  All Citrine.  I'll take a picture after they're made. 

 according to this post about flare sizes

5/8" and below its 2mm total, or 1mm per side.

 now, if 1/16" can be shaved off of flares would that mean that 1/16" from all around or total from the flare measurement?  I'm running blind on how big the flares are on my single gem 4g and 2g because of a dead battery in my calipers.   Just wondering.
