Yeah, those are garnets. And I fell in love with the opal upon seeing them in person, they change so much at different angles in the light.
well, merc, where are they???
Tomorrow! :D
Haha I mean they GET HERE tomorrow! :D
*bounce bounce*
Oh God oh God oh GOD
Better pics tomorrow when I have real sunlight instead of crappy orange indoor lighting! EEE!
The first picture is the most accurate color- and sparkle-wise, but it still doesn't do them justice. I am floored. :D
And Linds, that's because they ARE! :D I themed them on Mesoamerica/Mexico... but also wanted a bit of a jewel flair to them. :P
Ahhh! They blind my eyes with their shininess XD *it's a good thing*
I love that you decided to go with the colored TI. Yay!
those are great. when you get a chance take a pic that shows the ti. i want to see the color =)
Wow, I really like the gem pattern
Thanks guys!
Delilah - actually the ti color is pretty true to life in those, especially the first and third. In the bag it looked like (real) gold, then when I opened them up I saw that it was actually much darker, but it still looks a lot like gold from the front. It's pretty much a dark gray-brown, but I'll take lots more pics tomorrow in natural lighting. :P
Oh man those are GORGEOUS!! I love them! Good design work!
My lobes are finally at 5/8ths so in a few weeks when I can wear DF I'll model my new opal pretties for you all :)
I like it that the pattern is reversed on one of the eyelets.
