    materials for homemade?

I am in possession of these awesome things.
I guess theyre rhythm sticks or whatever, but theyre made out of this gorgeous coconut wood.

I was thinking about making some custom plugs and what have you out of them.
    You think its ear safe?

Also, does anyone have any advice on how I would go about making custom ear plugs?

          They are both 36mm diameter.

My concern would be what are they coated with? If you are not sure about that then I would probably not risk wearing them.

I've heard of people wearing coconut wood, but my recommendation would be to knock them a little below 36mm so that all the coatings and whatnot are off, and then refinish them with something safe. BAF doesn't necessarily condone this sort of thing, but I'd use jojoba and carnauba wax for finishing wood.

Ill probably make them for my ears when i get to 00s. So thats a lot i have to take off the surface.

Any ideas on where to start?

Ive got a dremel tool. Will that be sufficient enough or do you think i need any other tools?

Try the tools they offer at wood sculpture classes in those art show things. IDK exactly what tools they use, but a wood sculptor would be a great reference to start with.
