Do not use bleach with acrylic/plastic, it will be absorbed by the material and held against the OP's broken skin.

If you do not have access to steel, titanium, or glass, let your ears go naked until they heal from this episode.

     Bleach? Seriously?  :|

Seconding leaving them completely naked until you get appropriate jewelry for your lobes! Baby them!

current: monroe, 0g/00g lobes, rook, tragus, snug, helix, navel.
future: double helix, 12g second lobes

Wouldn't bleach just dissolve them anyway? When your ears look like that it is the time for nudity, not jewelry. Sea salt soak and keep headphones and other germy things away from it. If it gets hot or hard go to the doctor.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination. [:-goldfish]

i did not know that about the bleach/acrylic...  i was just remembering that boiling stuff is not too good and i know that bleach will definitely get things clean - but if it is absorbed into the acrylic...  sigh...  obviously, the correct answer is to go get something 'correct', but if it really were a choice between the two - idk, which would yall choose?  some silicone that they already own - or acrylic and trying to clean it ?  obviously, the OP did not volunteer anything else in a smaller size with appropriate material either - but if they were lucky theyd have a 00g or 0g steel plug somewhere...

Neither. I wouldn't wear jewelry, as stated above. This is a serious scenario that the OP is facing, leaving the lobes nude will be beneficial for a variety of reasons.

i was not joking (i can always be wrong, tho) - i just worried that he would have an infection and that trapping it inside (because he decides to go naked) would be worse...  idk - i guess -getting- an infection (from non-sterile) acrylic or silicone would be just-as-bad...  ok ok - go naked...  just be careful to do your sss-soaks and look for any signs of infection...  sigh - what a mess...

i think it is time to hear from the OP tho - hopefully we managed to convince him to go get some help for his poor lobes - seeing a piercer to evaluate them in person would be great - and the piercer could even recommend medical-attention, if it is appropriate...

It looks like your ear is eating that plug!  [:'(]

I agree that we need to hear from the OP.  What's goin on!?

And +1 for the going naked suggestion.  As long as there's no real pus or heat, go naked.  If you can't wait for plugs from BAF, atleast get to Hot Topic or something tomorrow.  They usually carry glass.

And OMG, please never stretch with silicone again!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that silicone can actually 'fuse' to unhealed/broken skin.  Hopefully you took your silicone plugs out already and have a safe material instead, or naked lobes.  Ouch!

I took them out this morning. I'm just going to wait for it to heal, then gauge up again. More slowly and carefully.Does anyone want to see a picture now?

    Sure!

As a general rule, space out 1mm stretches over the course of two to three months to heal properly. I think this will help you greatly when you restretch after healing completely.
