    Piercing Placement

I'm sure y'all get this question all the time, I just don't want to be one of those people that start asking questions after they've messed up, so I'm asking before I even consider stretching.  I've had my ears pierced for about 3 months now and I got them done without even having stretching in mind, but after looking around online for the last couple months it's really been gaining my interest.  So, I was hoping to get some opinions on the placement of my piercings.

I know my pictures aren't the best, but do y'all think the placement is good enough for stretching?  I like the way 0g's look, so that will most likely be my goal if the placement is good enough.

were your ears gunned or pierced processionally? regardlesss, i personally think that they are placed very nicely and that with the size of your lobes (as i can tell) you should totally be able to sport 0ga in due time, just remembe: BE PATIENT!

read the guide on stretching on the site and since you are just starting out, you are lucky enough to get knowlege before hand and follow the rules and end up with a very nice lobe in the end :)

patient, patient... its like 6am here and im not sleeping yet, that word looks very odd to me, but i spell checked it and patient is correct.

    GOOD LUCK!

forgive me; i don't do forums often, correctly, or ever at all. but i do love me some BAF :)

patient - someone who is under a doctors care

patience - an ability to -wait- awhile...

homonyms will getcha every time...  spell-checkers cannot find that kinda problem.  :-)

anyways - the OPs ears look ok to me (maybe one is a bit lower than the other) but for 0g everything should be just fine...  id think the way to tell - at least to first-order is to try wearing a cbr and deciding if they dangle-underneath the lobes the 'same amount' and in a way that you are comfortable with...

exactly 8.25250000001mm (0g) ear lobes ? goal reached, but currently downsizing/healing old wounds... so that i can create -new- ones... lol...

HII method: harold is insane... make sure to read everything i say and follow the most-insane ideas. if youre lucky - you can be insane too. 8-)

Haha thanks, I knew that there was a difference in the two, I couldn't really say "be patience" though. Spelling. The reason I should not be on forums at the crazy early hours of the morning/night. CBR test, good call; hadn't thought of that.

One is a tiny bit lower than the other, the perfectionist in me comes out from time to time and hates it, but I understand that it's an issue a lot of people deal with.

    Re: Piercing Placement

Keep in mind its pretty hard to see both lobes at once unless you're kinda far away from someone, so it's quite hard to notice slightly misplaced piercings on other people in person. Also, people rarely have identical pairs of ears, for example my right ear is just a little smaller than my left...

Since your lobes are only 3 months old, they may close up completely if you left jewelry out... If they did, you could get them repierced with placement you're happier with, and even at a bigger size to start with. If you get pierced at 10g or even 8g, it could even save you time over just stretching your current piercings!

I do hear ya on the whole perfectionist worrying about placement tho, my left is ever sl slightly lower than my right. There is a way to fix it without getting repierced tho, and that's getting scalpeled... but that certainly isn't for everyone lol (but would make stretching to your goal size faster too)

    2g lobes, 2g conches, 6g septum, 8g labret, 12g left tragus, 14g right tragus, 14g right eyebrow, 10g 'halfadravya'

One day: 1/2" lobes, 0g conches, 12g right tragus... maybe more

    Re: Piercing Placement

Thanks for the opinions/advice everybody, I think I might just let these holes close up and get them repierced higher and more evenly.  Better safe than sorry, right?
