I've had my septum at an 8 for at least 2 or 3 months, I've tried at least 3-4 times to stretch it to a 6. But it seems like it's nearly impossible.. I'm planning to stop at a 6 for a while, if I can ever get to it. Any tips? I use emu oil on my 6g every time I try to slide it in, it seems to help, but my pincher always gets stuck in the same spot. Should I use a different taper? Is there anything I could use for a while that's kind of in between and 8 and a 6? I've stretched to 2 1/4 on my ears but, I don't ever remember going from an 8 to a 6 was this difficult on my ears, hah. Thanks!

I had to have inbetween pieces made for me... They were a life saver!

 8g to 6g was my first time i taped my septum. prior to taping i would play with my ring excessively, i would tug and twist on it pretty hard and such, this occurred for at least a week or two,it loosened it up very slightly.

with this very slight loosening i wrapped on a very small amount of tape(compared to wat i would for ears) and on a ring, and i would put the ring halfway into my septum, and when it got to the taped part, i would tug down slightly to create a small gap so the tape could fit through. this was done at night. next morning when i went to apply the same amount of tape to my ring i noticed it was roughly the size of the 6g, so i tried inserting the 6g ring, and it slipped right in :)

I used the Industrial Strength 3 inch long taper to stretch my septum from 8g to 6g. It was a godsend.
