my lobes are happiest when i wear stone, glass, or Ti (or steel by Anatometal). they do well with KAOS silicone jewelry, esp. parylene coated earskins. my lobes are deathly sensitive/allergic to acrylic and cheap steel so i avoid both like the plague.
    iam/bme: kitten
14 mm lobes (going bigger), 6ga. 2nd lobes, 14ga. clavicle surface piercings (retired after 2.5yrs), sakura scar project (1/2 done). g= grams, ga=gauge.

my ears prefer the organics, stone, wood and bone/horn. I also have had the drying out experience with silicone, so I usually don't bother.

all i want is just a little sunshine to butter my toast, then I wouldn't be the only one, treading the sea of the NA.

I love glass and stone. If my ears are not feeling great, a pair of slightly cool glass plugs feels awesome, and stone is smooth and light and pretty much always beautiful. I hate wearing acrylic - it always feels sticky in my ears and makes them itchy if I wear it more than about an hour.

Glass, with stone being a second favorite. I also really like higher grade metal. Nothing quite replicates the shine of high grade steel polished to a mirror finish.

Will knit/crochet for pretties. Seriously, try me. I like shiny ^.^

my ears love silicone. I can get away with wearing other matierals (besides acrylic) for maybe 4-5 days, but then i generally have to put in silicone again for awhile to make them happy again.
