    splatterhouse:

Wildcat has some great economy products, but I would never rely on them for initial jewelry. Their quality, imo, is not on par with IS, Anatometal, Body Circle Designs, etc. One of their brand-name metals is called Mysterium. :|

WildCat sells some nice, high quality stuff that I've had a fantastic time with, not just economy-grade. I've used their stuff as initials before =]

And back on topic, that is an amazing looking punch there. I rarely see good large-gauge tragus piercings

    Ear X 8 (2x0g & 2x 10g, 2x 14g, & 1x14g helix, 14g conch), centre labret (14g), eyebrow (16g)

Anything that doesn't seem "normal" for just having had a chunk of ear taken out ;D. I personally think it's a fine choice...hard to go wrong with internally threaded titanium.

    Re: Tragus Punching

     Thanks for the compliments :)

And thanks for the more reassuring comments :)  I can't really see why it wouldn't be a decent choice, but I don't necessarily know a lot about Wildcat products so I'll still wait to hear if there's anything I should specifically be aware of.

Day 3 today, kinda a dull ache in my tragus today...still within the realms of fairly normal I'd say for having a chunk of ear taken out as it was so eloquently put lol :)  I'll try and get some photos a bit later on as of day 3...I think the swelling has gone down a bit and I'd like to have a little more of a look inside.  I gently tried to maneouvre the part of the tunnel inside my ear with a Q-tip after shower this morning so the front sits a little more flat against my tragus and i think I can't move it because it's already sitting against one of the ridges or curves on the inside of my ear.

How, if anything, will leaving it at this angle potentially affect the angle of the hole the way it was punched?  Can I leave it like this for a month until I downsize the jewellery without any major repurcussions in terms of angle?  Not even sure if I'm just being paranoid, because the angle looks fine in the photos...or maybe it's moved since then...I guess some photos later will help so until then....

    Cheers

    Benny

If it were "just skin" I'd be more worried about the angle, but since there's cartilage in there I think your chances of having a bad outcome from the hanging are decreased. While jewelry can definitely wear on cartilage I personally don't think that how yours looks now indicates a problem. And I apologize for the two (three?) super awkwardly worded sentences...it's been a long day.

    Re: Tragus Punching

Lol, message came through loud and clear :)

So here's some more photos from today, day 3.  I've tried to take a couple from a more upward angle so you can see what I mean about it not sitting entirely flat, but then again the more I look at it it's kinda much of a muchness.  Quality of the photos is a bit sucky, but hopefuly they're clear enough :)  Swelling has gone down quite a bit in terms of length of the tragus, but it's still pretty thick from swelling.

Okay, it doesn't look like it's hanging like I thought it was earlier.  It looks like it's healing really well! :-D

I agree with Wissabo, I think it looks great and the jewelry doesn't seem to be "hanging" at all!

Earskins? I'd love to see a pic of that...hah. Also consider larger gauge labret studs if you like using earbuds, etc.

    Re: Tragus Punching

Yep little baby earskins, altho Not sure how I'll get it in there :/ I'm thinking yellow will look awesome and attract attention to my pretty little hole :D then if I want I can put stuff through that whenever I want...gonna go pick up a titanium SF eyelet today and downsize that massive bar this week and leave it for happy healing. The swelling has gone down heaps and heaps so the bar is kinda wobbly and uncomfortable now :( maybe photos this week with new jewellery :)

Re: Tragus Punching (New pic with new jewellery)

    Hey guys,

Just a bit of an update.  Healing is going well so far...found the eyelet I was looking for, ended up being really perfect length and stuff so I just couldn't wait, went down to my piercing studio yesterday and had them change it.  Was actually not painful at all, even after trying to shove their finger in my ear to get the O-ring on...seeped a tiny bit of blood just at the end, just a couple of speckles on the swab.

Here's a pic with the new jewellery, I like it MUCH more now that it sits completely flat on my tragus and you can see the hole way proper now with the eyelet.  Besides that, my new Antometals for my lobes were making that Wildcat bling look like shit (yes, I can see what the poster above meant now by quality and stuff but the Wildcat thing was still good for what I bought it for...and was MUCH less expensive than the REAL blings Hmm

And yes, I desperately need a shave.
