Left ear really dry and its prolonging the healing process!

The title basicly says it all. But ill repeat myself, my left ear for some odd reason is very dry. But my right ear is fine and its healing very nicely. What should i do to make my ear not dry? Ive tryed using a bit more vitamin e oil than usual and ive been doing that for the past week but to no avail.

Vitamin E does not seem to absorb through the skin very well, you might try some jojoba oil, emu oil or holey butter.

What is your jewelry made of? What style is it? Orings? What kind of orings? What has your aftercare been in detail? Soap? Soaks? Oils? How often do you wash them? Any other information you can share?

    Im just that awesome!

The jewelry is made of acrylic. This is why my ears are dry. I plan on getting glass plugs sometime soon which will make them not so dry. But i have no money so i kinda want to find a way of making them not so dry in this situation. The style of the jewelry is pinchers. Yes theres orings. Idk what kind. I do sea salt soaks every other day. And jojoba oil massages everyday. I take my pinchers out everyday in the shower. I stretched a week ago.

Acrylic is a no no for fresh stretches. Single flared/no flare plugs in glass, titanium or surgical steel are best.  You are doing entirely too much in the way of aftercare.  The SSS are nice but likely you can try to leave your ears alone and just clean them in the shower with a very mild nondrying soap.. or just a rinse and be done.  And STOP taking your pinchers out everyday. You're just causing more trauma.

I think the stretching guide is referenced in Ann's signature.  You might want to just take those pinchers out, let your ears heal and try again in 6 months with the right materials. If you don't have the funds to do it properly, you should wait until you do.

Eek. Adwoa pretty much covered it.

Also, the only oil that is safe to use on unhealed skin is emu oil. Save the others for after your skin is healed (although I love emu oil so much that I use it all the time).

ill try to ignore the -issues- youve raised later, and try to respond to the initial query...

if your left ear is different than your right ear, significantly, then my guess is that you DO something different...  prolly cell phone, is my guess...  think about what you do each day that might be significantly different across sides - long hair that is parted differently?  sleeping on one side?  theres all kinds of things thatre possible...

to be fair, hardly ANYones ears are perfectly symmetrical - which is readily apparent once you start to examine closely...  so, if you can come up with some things that might be doable to -even-out- your situation it might help...  also, you can now start to call the left ear - your -bitch-ear-...  whereas your right is feeling healed and ready to do things (it is NOT, btw, you really should wait the minimum times which means at -least- another week [edit: -month-, not week, i thought OP said 3 wks since stretch] or two) - if you want to stay symmetrical, then you will ALWAYS be waiting for your -bitch-ear- to catch up and become ready...  as tempting as it might seem to rush ahead based upon the better-ear, the truth is that you really should just wait until both are ready...  your lobes will be much happier campers the longer you can wait...

i feel like an ancient-dude, but i keep seeing yoda cross-legged and just waiting while luke is brashing-about the swamp...  lol

exactly 8.25250000001mm (0g) ear lobes only... so far...

Actually i sleep on my left side. And i plan on waiting about a month more anyway. I just want it to feel better. And today its actually feeling alot better. I can play with it a bit and it doesnt hurt at all. I think it may be because its been so cold outside also but idk.
