    Flesh Tunnels.

What do you think of them?  Do you have any likes or dislikes?  Are externally threaded tunnels okay to wear in healed stretches?  Thanks for the help!

I personally love them. I like the internally threaded better than the externally threaded type... They have more tapered/rounded fronts while the externally threaded has square/chunky fronts. I like how you don't have to worry about o-rings, and the square flares makes me feel like they are less likely to get pushed out of my lobes by headphones or whatever. Very uncomfortable in helmets though :/

i do like wearing tunnels.i have two from when i only had one ear stretched up. one is from wildcat and the other one i picked up from a shop. the one from wildcat has high front and back, whereas the one that was shop bought is low and squared off. the squared off one never feels secur. i've never had internally threadded ones, but i can imagine that they'd be easier to screw together

Pros imo: externally threaded tunnels seem to have large flares and there are no o-rings to fuss with/worries about flares sliding through lobes

Cons: threads could catch the lobe if it is tight or get stripped/they do not accentuate the stretched hole as much as a thinner non-threaded tunnel/they are just overall clunkier in appearance

I also think they can look cheap, but that's just me. I used to wear one in my conch all the time though because I am always losing o-rings.

    +1

I had one pair over my many years, back when I was at 0g.  I wore them out hunting for a week cuz I didn't want to worry about losing 0-rings or them slipping through my ears.  They served their purpose, but I think in the 2+ years I was at 0g, that was the only time I wore them...

    Lobes: 5/8" lobes x2; 2g x1 (2nd hole); 4g x1 (3rd hole). 10g septum. 8g tongue. 12g nipple. 16g eyebrow. 2.5 year old dreads. Sternum microdermal (rejected).

I very much enjoyed my gold plated ones and they were externally threaded.. just had to be gentle upon insertion but never had a problem at all. Of course the gold started to wear off after about a year and the cheaper metal under it gave me a reaction but otherwise I did like them.

I actually like the way they look, but they can be pretty short. I have pretty skinny earlobes, and most flesh tunnels I can find are too short for me.

I really like them too and it would be great if they could find a way to make the metal thinner so they accentuate the hole more. I've never had issues with the threading hurting me and they are the exact wearable length for me, they can be hard to screw on with oily fingers or long nails though. Below is a pic of my collection of tunnels Smile

I got mostly sparkly ones because I think tunnels are rather masculine/industrial looking and I like the interplay between the the idea of something being both tough and pretty.

I love internally threaded tunnels. My lobes seem to like them much better than externally threaded...
