Massaging to get rid of scar tissue

Hi everyone. I have been massaging my lobes to get rid of scar tissue from old self done 2nds and 3rds piercings that were also badly cared for and of course terribly placed. I have been using Holy Butt'r sometimes and Jojoba other times, I'm vegan so I only use plant based stuff. The problem is that the massaging seems to be making the raised scar tissue around the old piercing on my 2nds MORE prominent instead of less (it even looks a bit cat buttish!! Sad), like it is spreading out and it feels like it is spreading out too when I roll it between my fingers. Is this a stage they go through before getting less noticable, has anyone else experienced this? I would like to reduce these scars as much as possible and am thinking of getting 2nds done again in a better placement but don't want them to draw attention to the scars. I have posted a pic below in which you can see the scars, I can't find a before and after shot to show the difference though.

Perhaps this is a better pic:

unfortunately, if it hasn't gone away by now, it probably won't ever. i self pierced a long time ago and now one of the holes not only won't close up, but also acts up occasionally.

as far as scars go, Bio Oil has done some difference for a few of my scars.  good luck.

1/2" lobes, 6g conches, septum, monroe, tongue, "snakebites" [ or whatever you kids are calling them these days. ] 8 tattoos so far, although seven of them will be blended together eventually. wishing for more.

Are maybe massaging it too hard? I have old scar tissue that I don't worry too much about but when I do massage it too roughly it gets really angry!

I made that mistake once.  My ears were sore for like 3 days.  Sucked!

Like Jesska said, I wonder if some sort of scar removal (like Mederma or something) would help reduce the APPEARANCE of the holes?  I've used it on scars on my face (where stithces were), and it worked wonders.  They're smoother and you can hardly see them.  Pretty good shit...

Edit: BTW, I love that opalite in your ear! :-D

I didn't know that stuff worked, I thought it was all a con and that it was only the massage that helped. I'll get myself some bio oil then, it seems to be vegan from what I can see online.

Cheers for the compliment on the opalite, I just tried them on the other day for the first time they're like '9's in their shape.

If you try it, let me know how it works!  I hate my second holes!

I use bio oil on my lobes and it is GREAT! I recomend it.
