When it says specify diameter, is that measured at the widest point on the ring or is that going to be the wearable of the straight bar part? Thank you!

 Hmm good question, I want to order one of these soon too... Also how long would you say it would take to ship after ordering, as it's a pre order item?

I just wondered if something pretty simple like this, which seems like BCD would have just in stock, would still take that long? Or would it only be ordered along with other BCD pre-orders in bulk or something...

I guess it doesn't actually matter in the end - if I order one it will take however long it takes. lol

 When we place pre-orders we do place them in groups, and we also place stock orders at the same time, as well.  Depending on the speed of the turn-around we tend to place these orders every two weeks or so.  Sometimes the delay is a bit longer, depending on the time of year, the availability of materials, etc.  In general, I'd say 4 weeks was about average for a custom BCD order from placing the order to receiving it at your door.

 Thank you! One more question, so say I need 1/2" wearable for the straight part, I should order a size up from 1/2" diameter?

i know this is crazy late but after ordering from the site for a long time, i got bored and started going through the BAF forums and found this.

anyways, i ordered a 12ga 1/2" of this and the straight part is 1/2" for the wearable, and the diameter of the ring part goes to about 17.5mm. it took about 2-3 weeks to be made, but i ordered it with some other pre-order items and one of them had to be remade so that affected the time it took for me to get the item. i love it though, very comfortable since the ends are tapered. the jade bead is really really cool too. i only received one bead though, unlike some other people in the reviews.
