Where do you get your microdermal jewelry?

So, I got two microdermals done about a week ago, and they are already almost completely healed! I still plan to wait a few more weeks to change the jewelry, but I'm a little bit of a fanatic, so I want to start looking already.[;)] The thing is, I'm having a hard time finding much of a selection anywhere, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any good places online that they can be ordered from. (I'm pretty sure that I didn't see any in the shop here, but it's possible I'm just blind.)

I assume that you plan on changing the top gem/disk/ball, correct?

You should go back to your piercer and find out which brand of microdermal is currently inside of you, as it's likely the threading from other companies will not match the piece you have. I sincerely hope it's a high quality piece, as microdermal implantation is a semi-permanent procedure.

If your microdermal ends up rejecting, I suggest trying again with either:

Also, feeling healed=/=being healed, but careful not to irritate it too much when you switch ends.

Yes, I will be changing the disk, I currently have an Titanium disk made by industrial strength. I don't think that it will reject, my piercer has been doing microdermals for several years, and these are my 11th and 12th body mod, so I have some experience in caring for piercings, although not microdermals.

Yeah, I'm going to be pretty cautious about changing it too early, I plan to wait at least a month from the date that it was done, because from the research that I've done, that seems to be the maximum estimated amount of time they take to heal. Does that sound about right to you?

if they are industrial strength, you can just pre-order any IS end from baf.

According to BME encyclopedia, one to three months is about par. Good luck with your healing, take some pictures to post if you can. :)

To Dramaxx (or anyone else who knows) I hate to sound so out of it, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I'm not that adept with computers, and apparently my look over BAF missed the place where I can find those. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

Thanks a lot for your help guys, and no worries, I won't change it before it's ready. :)

Yes, I remember Sam saying her piercer told her something along the lines of "your body will feel like its healed in a week, then in a few weeks it will be like ZOMGIMVADERSMUSTKILLWTF" something like that. And i would double check that your piercer has been doing them for 7 years because correct me if im wrong but they have only been around 4ish at the MOST.

on the main page, under the navigation, click the 'loose balls and accessories' link.

    pre-orders are listed last.

Re: Where do you get your microdermal jewelry?

I might suggest here that you shouldn't change it yet. My microdermal felt healed after a week, even though it definitely wasn't actually healed, and I was told to not change the end for 6 months in order to let it heal without extra stress. Trying to twist the disc off this early could lead to damaging the skin and tissue trying to grow around and through the foot of the jewelry.

I agree with Lindsey. I'm thinking that you might also risk twisting it out of position if the disc is screwed in really tight.

Alana is right, lol. Mine was "COMPLETELY HEALED" and then it decided to lymph like a mofo for a week and look nasty, then got better and now its fine except it sticks out of my skin a little more than I'd like.
