Ive been at 11/16 for about a year now, and ive been massaging my ears with Jojoba and vit E oil once every day. My question is, is a year long enough or should i wait longer?

 If you think your ears are ready, go ahead and give it a try. Never hurts to wait longer if your ears truly aren't ready for it. Sounds like you've been pretty nice to your ears though, patience is always a good thing.

wrong. everybody is different. some people will get to a size that they just cannot stretch any bigger from. they could wait a decade and still not be able to stretch any more without doing thier ears damage.

wow - ive never thought about that concept - but i guess it kinda makes sense...  of course, if this person has hit one of those unpassable 'plateaus', then i imagine that a professional piercer could find a way 'through' the issue...  correct?

maybe not - i mean, ive been growing my hair for almost two decades...  ive tried every conceivable way to make it grow longer than mid-back, but as far as i can tell - it will just 'break' and never get any longer than it currently is...  and yes, i have hair-envy for those folks who can grow their hair down to their butts...  lol.

is there truly a sometimes-natural limit to how much blood a person can pump around their earlobe - and thus some people will NEVER be able to gauge up beyond a certain size?

do you expect her to accept just one-persons-opinion ?  if youve got some other evidence (hearsay is prolly not useful) like web-links or something - then id be happy to followup on them...  i, myself, was not curious enough (beyond just pondering it as a hypothetical in this discussion-space) to do any research...  if you have (done research), then please - feel free to share...

just repeating something louder, is not a useful way to convince someone of something...  imho.  h.

i could be wrong, but the squabbling -might- help...  (no, im not kidding - but i do have my toungue close to my cheek)  the reason i say this is that maybe the OP (who has already chimed in that she is interested in this 'wall' topic) actually has very small ears and truly IS at a point where this is becoming an issue...

of course, the correct answer for the OP and her question about is-it-ready is still to go see a piercer who can look at her ears and make a judgment call...  (and maybe also answer the 'wall' question)...  for _me_, ive got fairly big ears and these sizes would not be a problem (and hence my assumption that it would not be for the OP either)...

anyways - id be happy to take this 'wall' topic offline or elsewhere - i happened to 'jump in' because he seemed to be berating the OP in her own topic to just 'trust him' without any further evidence...  which i disagreed with...  whatev...
