    Print ad contest

    Hey all :)

We've been running the same print ad for a couple of years now and the jewelry on it is really outdated. We're looking for a new ad that brings out our newer jewelry as well as a fresher look. This ad will be printed in Inked magazine, and possibly alternative press.

The winner will receive a $250 BAF gift certificate

    • DEADLINE: JULY 6th
    • Links to BAF logos HERE
    • Post all submissions in this thread
    • The ad needs to be 1/2 page (8.5" x 5.5")
    • It needs to be high resolution (600 dpi). We will need the original working file if you are selected as the winner.
    • If selected as the winner, you allow BAF to use the print ad where we choose.
    • Multiple submissions are ok
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them here and I'll try to get to them asap.

    This sounds exciting!!

Could those of us that haven't seen the old add get a picture of it up on here so we know what to work against?

Can I get a file with the buddha and font?

Do we just use any images of jewelry that we find of jewelry from your site? I assume that for the final file, we could get a higher res shot from you guys, if picked?

     Also a question,

Besides the logo + website does it need to have anything specific in it, text wise?

     2nd question:

Can we make the 'normal file' a smaller size seeing the logo, jewelry pictures are low-res.. and then the 'winning' entry with the high resolution version?

current mods: 00g ears, 8g tongue, 12g septum, 16g left nostril, 8g right nostril, 2x helix right, 1x helix left, snakebites, nipples, outer labia, vch. 6 dermal anchors including a dermal anchor heart project (finished) and one on cheekbone

Oh... I downloaded the logo, but didn't open the file... I assumed it was a vector format .eps? I was planning on building the thing at full res, then popping higher res images in the final, if picked. Does that work?

    Re: Print ad contest

Submitting lower res images here is fine  :) As long as we get high res from the winner it's all good. Yes, please use any images from the site for the jewelry. In the past we've used images directly from the site for ads and they seemed to work out ok in print ads, so we probably don't need anything bigger.

The .eps file is vector format and should open up fine in Illustrator or Photoshop.

I use GIMP.  Is there any way I could get a non .eps version?  I can't open it with anything on my computer.  =[

I'm honestly not sure.  I installed ghost script and that is supposed to let me use .eps files but for some reason it won't.  It might just be me.
