Hi everyone, I am in urgent need for some help. I have 1 1/2 plugs and have had them for a while.  I think I stretched the right one too fast, because a long tear formed inside my lobe. the cut was raw so when I downsized, it just healed together...after it healed I put my plug back in. everything seemed ok until I noticed that the outside (like the rim) of my ear had a scab on it, and was VERY thin in that spot, I thought it was healing, so I just left it alone. This morning I decided to take it out and check it out. I noticed that the scab was healing and coming off on its own.  it appears that a chunk of my skin is gone. The scab fell off and now, as you can see, my ear looks/is half torn??? I took my plug out, but the skin isn’t healing together, which I suspected. Because it feels like the the tear is healing. I have never had problems with stretching my ears, and this is scaring me. Should I get it sewn together? Or do you think it will somehow heal? Is there anything I can do? Any advice would help. Thank you!

 wow, that sucks. i think the only thing you can doat this point is to get to a doctor or plastic surgeon.. the skin around the tear looks really red and that is not a good sign. 

don't wait. 

thats alot of damage...looks like all blood flow to that area is restricted, and i assume if you leave it much longer it will snap. id get to a surgeon quick quick to get it fixed. im assuming they will cut out the affected area, and sew it back together, leaving you with a much smaller hole..but better than a split.

hopefully people stretching too quick see this and learn from you.

WOW, you're only 17, and your lobes are already 1 1/2 inch? Thats crazy. But I like it xD

Anywho, back on topic. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine, his ears were at a pretty large size, can't remember exactly what size, it was around 1 inch, and he got into a fight and his lobe got ripped pretty severly. Its been afew years since it happened and this is whats left of his ear

But yeah, I know his only option now, is surgery, or live with it, and that's probably your only option too, regardless if its healed of not. Its probably best to contact a plastic surgeon asap and talk over your options.

You should abstain from wearing jewelry, as decreased circulation may cause tissue death.

Visit a plastic sugeon as soon as possible.

thank you everyone for your advice!! it was very helpful. i put some oil on my ear last night and i woke up and it seamed a little better. but im thinking my ear tissue is just dead, fuck! i will get to a plastic surgeon soon.

 it is dead and there is no way you can fix your ear by yourself.  you're probably going to have to have part of it removed, sorry.

also perhaps to be more helpful, do you remove your jewelry often?  at that size you should be going naked as often as possible to help circulation.  at least sleeping without jewelry.

OMG.  That sucks soooo bad.  I'm so sorry!  All that work...but, like everyone said, all you can do now is get it fixed.  Please let us know how it goes and post pictures!? 

 Just for my own curiosity, can you restretch after an ear is surgically fixed, or no?  Probably a bad idea, huh?  Should she get the other ear done at the same time so they'd be the same size??

Yes, you can restretch after surgery, there's a program called Dr 90210 on foxtel in australia, probably america too, and there was a guy on there who's lobe got detatched from his head and one of the surgons sewed it back for him and they told him that he could restretch, but he had to wait atleast a year after the surgery to even think about it :( sucks when bad things happen to stretched lobes, it makes me sad :'(
