Give yourself a break. 8g to 6g is the first 1mm stretch and a lot of people (including me) found it difficult.  How long have you been at 8g?

    Re: Ahhh!!...6 is impossible!

I'd say almost about a year... I was satisfied to stay at the spot for a good long time cause it was my first goal. But now I just wanted to move up one more...I tried maybe 2 months ago but it was just not going without more force then i was willing to give lol.... and then I was bored today and decided to give it another shot. Still not as easy as I want it to be...I haven't given up yet..but am pretty discouraged.

ETA: I think I'm just not putting enough pressure for this stretch..like you said its a bigger jump then the others and I didn't have to put too much effort to stretch the other sizes. It doesn't hurt..just a little stinging when I get to the part of the jump up and thats where I kind of stop lol.

Ok!...1 down 1 to go!..sigh...I stopped being a punk and gave it a little more, I guess I just needed to psych myself up. It stung, even after i felt I had made it past that next level in size...but nothing unbearable...now that I know what to expect I hope the second ear is much easier cause I wont have been fucking with it and bailing before going all the way through.

The ear feels ok, no bleeding of course, doesn't hurt though I can still feel a little sting. Think everything's cool to go ahead with the other one?

ETA: Shit..too late for the 7g suggestion...that would have been much easier...oh well...

Woot!...second ear was much easier..gave myself a little breather after first go..and just pushed it right through(with slight sting too lol)..took less than a minute...think it helped this ear wasn't irritated from failed attempt. Seamless transition to jewelry and now I'm good. 6g! Hopefully I'm staying here for good. First ear has already stoped stinging long ago...peace.

When I stretched my lobes to a 6g, it was difficult as well. I tried several different times over the period of about a week before it finally worked. I'm sure it's the most difficult so far because of the size jump. For me, it wasn't at all like my previous stretches. I know people who made the jump super easily, and people who found it really hard.

Metal: 4g lobes, 18g right nostril, 16g(?) tragus, full set of braces

Upcoming: 2nd lobes, conch, several more

Retired: first set of 20g lobes forever ago, 16g second lobes, right ear industrial, left nostril, 14g navel (Obviously piercings don't love to stay in my body happily.)

Going to a 6 was actually quite easy for me. They slid quickly. Going from a 4 to a 2 was hell. Ears on fire for a few days. But give it time, you can do it. (:

    Re: Ahhh!!...6 is impossible!

I think part of what made it hard moving up for me is that I wear earskins a lot..like almost constantly so my ears most likely hadnt stretch on their own from an exact 8 to make my job easier. I thought that they had cause it was so easy to take out and put back in those small earskins without folding or lube or anything but I think that was just a by product of being at 8 for so long that the wholes were fully healed and holding their shape to allow easy insertion.
