is it true they reduce that "ear cheese" smell?

and can oil like emu oil etc make the wood go rancid? thats what i herd

 emu oil can go rancid, so it isn't a good idea to use it on organic plugs. i'm not sure what a good alternative might be [ for organic plugs ] but i might use All Good Goop, which i use on my ears quite often. i LOVE this stuff. i use four products in rotation: 

1) emu oil

2) all good goop

3) holey butt'r

4) Naked oil. 

i don't own any [ now ] organic plugs, but i'm sure a couple of these would be safe for wood. 

Most people find that wood or organic plugs reduce ear cheese, and there have even been others that swear by silicone. I find that i generally don't get the smell, due to taking out my plugs in the shower and washing my ears with shampoo while i'm washing my hair (ofcourse only when they're fully healed) then i rub my ears with Jojoba oil, Maybe that could help stop the smell for you too.

But yeah, definately don't use emu oil on your ears before you put in the organics. Jojoba oil is great on wood/horn/etc so get some of that :D and good luck with killing the ear cheese!
