Hmmmm... I hate it when ignorant people say, "That's GAY!"... enough said >:(

I NEVER use that term. I think it's really inappropriate and rude. I really hate when I hear people say it...

I hate when  people have absolutely NO respect for others and their personal things. Is respect that hard to come by these days?

Same here... or when people act out certain physical disabilities or habits of the mentally challenged in reference to "stupid"... so mean.

On a different note, "tonsil stones" really grinds my gears... ahhh, someone please tell me they experience this & have learned how to get rid of them! I just learned where they came from when a large one came out tonight, and frantically self diagnosed myself through google (haha).  I have horrible sinus problems year-round, and most of the "issues" as to why they occur is "bad oral hygiene", and sinus drainage as *less likely reason*.. which isn't true in my case. My parents could never afford to take me to the dentist as a kid, so I learned early on to brush twice a day, and gargle/floss. My ears are swollen because of these nasty things, and I constantly feel like there is something stuck in my throat :(

Maybe at age 21, I should take my first dentist visit??

i get them, too. they are so annoying. :( i have no idea how to make them go away though. i heard that even getting your tonsils removed sometimes doesn't stop them... which is weird.

Re: What Really Grinds My Gears

I am vexed that I find a large portion of my pop culture references are no longer relevant to a lot of the people I communicate with.  I am not old, and I was raised by television, too, dammit.  And yet I am too often met with the blank stare when I make what I think is a pretty witty (or at least a ha-ha-kooky type) reference.  About a page back in this thread there was a great opportunity to make a Jackée Harry reference, but I didn't even bother.  What would be the point?

Of course it goes both ways sometimes.  A while back a couple of people I know were talking about the MTV VMAs, and I kind of laughed and made some sort of snarky comment like, "  MTV? Are they even relevant to music anymore?!"  And the people, who's conversation I had admittedly just interrupted, looked at me like I was a moron. It made me reasses my position.  Because I don't think that I have watched MTV for almost a decade, and certainly not for anything music related. But I realized that perhaps I'm starting to become irrelevant.

Oh, and I've been sick for the last four days.  That sucks, too.

Finally catching some bug. I've been sick since Friday, and can't go to school because I have a fever. I slept most of the weekend, and I HAVE to go to school tomorrow, so the damn fever better go away!

Oh, and my school sending me a notice that I owe $90 in late fees for books?! They're only four days overdue! I e-mailed them and thankfully they'll waive the fees as long as I bring them in tomorrow. But really, $90 is just absurd.

I agree about myself, although it could be for much different reasons than you, perhaps  :/

I'm a lazyass at school and my dad threatened to stop paying for me to go.  I can't afford even one damn class a semester (I work part time, only 3-4 days a week).  If I don't pick my grades up from NOW on and like, never fail anything ever again I can stay in college -____-

Oh, and the fat thing I mentioned in the Girls' Locker Room thread... I'm working on it, though!

00g lobes; 18g right helix; 16g left rook; 12g left conch; 8g tongue; 18g double nostrils; 14g septum

Ink: Simba on right shoulder blade; Daisy behind left ear; Sugar Skull on right forearm

    Do want.
