I've been stretching for a few months nowww.And I have been at a 4g for two or so months.Sunday I decided to stretch to a 2g.I wasn't able to order my steel plugs from baf,so instead I went to hot topic and bought an acrylic taper and plug set.I showered,lubed up,and stretcched.Tapers went in fineee.But then I had a problem.The single flared plugs I bought have grooves in them for the o-rings to sit.And I couldn't get it through my ear because of the grooves.So I wore the tapers mabey 12 hours max,to loosen it up a bit.The plugs went in fine afterrwards.Today I woke up and my ear was all swollen,I cleaned it like always,provon and qtips after a fresh stretch.I figure it would clear up.I got home today,and I went to clean my ears,and there was abit of blood in the groove for the o-rings.Is this normal?Should I downsize?Any tipss?

downsize to at least 6g and sss and when healed enough, message earlobes and use oil

 How long is a few months exactly?

And acrylic should not be used for fresh stretches.  You should downsize to a 6 and use glass, surgical steel or titanium plugs and wait a while before stretching again.

 same thing happened to me!

I've decided that it wasn't the actual stretch that made my ears bleed, but the o-ring grove cutting the inside of my piercing. 

I would just put different ones in for now, and wait until your ears are more healed to use those.

five months?

I've seen the guidee.

Its just I wasn't able to buy steel plugs like I usually do.
Due to credit card issues.

And where I live,they don't sell plugs or anything to do with stretched ears really.

I happened to be at a different mall and decided to pick up a set.

I'm pretty sure it was the groove for the o-ring that did the damagee.

But I will definitely downsize for now.

 Might also have been from wearing the tapers for 12 hours. Never wear tapers.

As the others have said, I recommend downsizing and wait til you can get proper jewelry before you try again.
